Early 944 noisey gearshifts, cause was found to be failed mounts. "Clunks" Can be heard as the box moves around. But its just as easy to go under and have a look, if theyre orignal, then its pretty certain that by now theyve failed. Getting on for 40 years old.

100% stock. The dampers and brakes were new when I bought it, that was it. Otherwise everything was as Smart made it. Cheers, it was great fun, just like a big gokart

Lateral forces of 1.0 G is not bad at all....for a more or less standard roadcar.

Its very light and has very wide tyres. This helped a lot with being able to tip it in to the corners!

The bos is slow, in auto its useless on a track, it cant think fast enough and never downshifts enough. In semi auto you can learn to get it up the box as well as a manual. but going down, it will refuse to give you the gear unless its ready.

The 124 sounded mega. Iv got a decent shit of you goin passed. The roadster was great fun, but the boost controller failed about 1030. So the rest of the day I had to stay away from 100% throttle and after 4 laps it would drop into limp mode. Bit of a spoiler. Still got some laps in though. How did you get on?

@@jamesbroad7916 Aw no, sorry to hear about the boost controller, hopefully it's an easy fix. I managed pretty good throughout the day, no issues, managed to set a personal best lap time chasing one of the Lotuses lol.

Thanks, the car has a lot more to give. It was my first time on track in it and I was being very careful with the wheels. I was around 1.5 seconds a lap faster this month as I took more risks.

James Broad mine is mostly standard, apart from suspension and a cam. There were a few mk2’s there who were kitted out! Did you snap any videos of me?
