I really do hope there was a valid reason to cut down a nearly 1000 year old tree. And making furnitures or summin out of it doesn’t count as a good reason. I’m fine with it, if it was ill, got struck by lightning, got damaged by fire or posed an imminent threat. Cutting down such a mighty tree for any other reasons is just unnecessary and sad 😔

It might have been a reason that the tree just died of old age. Trees are also like any other living things. They also won't live forever.

@@platinumsky845 unless it's bonsai, the chances of a wild or domestically planted tree living as long is infinitesimally small. Even this one living to its age was a one in a billion chance. And seeing as this tree is a prime lumber species, the chances are even smaller.
