The Hemtek can be a little funny because the dials are not a digital read out. Try to keeo the temp set at 7 but cut the air volume back all the way. This air setting will be half of the full setting. Depends on if you are using 7 oz vs 9 oz. With mesh the tendency is to want to run at a lower temp but often times it does does not weld at lower temps. Please feel free to call anytime. Marcus, the device in the video is a custom made drive motor that I assembled from robot parts, in particular that drive powers back in reverse. That table video is 4 years old and I sold it years ago. Nowadays I make a new table that is an absolute BEAST. The new table is 24' long and I currently install a Leister UNIPLAN 500 onto that table. I can attache pictures of that table and I have two in stock about 90% built.
