Not nearly enough for Castillo lol. Why would the competing Mariners want two outfield prospects in an already pretty crowded and locked up OF? They want someone in the infield who’s already in the majors or is close and will actually help them and make them better this year and beyond. Castillo is paid well below his market value and is still like you said very good. So in this current pitching market where pitching is very expensive and SP3s get paid $20M-25M a year Castillo is worth a ton! And later in the video you had the Mariner shoving up 2 better prospects for Yandy Diaz and hoping for a bounce back? Like why wouldn’t it be the same for Castillo? Similar age players, being paid probably below market value for their positions and rate of play.

14:31 as a Royals fan I’d say this is a little too much. Champlain struggled last year playing at AAA but the year before that he dominated AA and AAA for the short time he was there. A couple more adjustments and he’s an Arm with a 5 Starter Floor and Mid-Rotation upside. Cross was a Top 10 pick for a reason and has had 1 legit worrying injury (his Back last year which sapped his power after it happened whereas before we were wondering if he was going to crack the Bigs last year) and 1 Freak Illness in Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever which means any part of your opinion around that year he was affected needs to be erased from your mind. Those 2 would already be a slight Overpay for only 2 years (the most expensive years) of control of Ward but then you add one of the Highest Floor pitchers in ANY Minor League System in Beam on to that? If I’m the Royals I’m saying No to that every time. However the base of a fair Trade is in there so I’ll throw out a couple of hypotheticals, one based around a Pitcher and one based around a Hitter: 1) Royals get- Ward Angels get- Gavin Cross and either Chris Stratton or Frank Mozzicato 2) Royals get- Ward Angels get- Chandler Champlain and Spencer Nivens These 2 Deals would be far more equitable between the 2 teams since LAA really have no leverage here
@TheEWFX294 күн бұрын
Just about everyone gets better here except the Red Sox. They take on a stiff contract from another team. You would have to add something with Arenado and maybe get some fringe candidate back. Red Sox dont want Arenado unless you toss in something good with it. We already have a shortstop who is overpaid and has zero return, they dont need more trash.

What you think about Deyvison De Los Santos or Agustin Ramirez
@AndItsGone11 күн бұрын
I actually really familiar with Deyvison from his days in Amarillo and Reno. I would like to mention that those ball parks are a hitter's paradise (think Coors Field during the steroid era). However, even he put up some monster numbers. Right now, he pairs to be a DH/1B type player who can maybe even play corner outfield. I'd be surprised if he hasn't been called up by the all star break. As for Ramirez, depends what the marlins want to do with him. If they think long term he could be a great catcher for them, then more minor league time is needed. However, if they think his bat is valuable enough to be a 1st baseman, then he could be called up sooner.

What do you think about Justin Crawford or Aidan Miller, both are pretty good prospects with high upside, but I don’t know if either of them are ready for a call up.
@AndItsGone12 күн бұрын
I really doubt either of them will see major league playing time in 2025 (both ended the season in AA this year). However, it is possible that they could get called up late into the 2025 season like Gunnar Henderson or Dylan Crews.

What do you think about some of the 2024 draft guys like Chase Burns for example
@AndItsGone12 күн бұрын
Still too early for them to make a major impact in the major leagues most likely (the best chance among them is probably Christian Moore). And as for Burns, look for him to follow what Chase Dollander did this season. If he can post good numbers in high A and make it all the way up to AA/AAA, then that will be a good season.

unless something happens with Sean Murphy or Chadwick Tromp, Baldwin will begin the season in AAA. Acuna was very surprising in his short stint with the Mets (.600+ slugging). However, i think his stats in AAA are more indicative of how his 2025 season will turn out rather than the 14 game major league sample size. That being said, he’s still a plus defender and can find a role for the Mets as a utility bench bat with his speed and defense
