I was there that day, singing my heart out with sheer pride for the beautiful city I am proud to be from. Such an emotional feeling. It was fantastic seeing the Guildhall Square filled with so many people ,raising their voices as one.

I am 65 years living in derry and love this city dearly. I will never leave it. It has gone from strength to strength this past 30 years. It is a clean, bright ,pleasant city. The people are kind and well mannered , I cherish my memories here ... after all we have been through this is a happy city.

Indeed! but it's a shame that one of the first things we do in 2014 is close the gallery that hosted the Turner Prize. I hear the building will make a great office block. How "cultural" is that? That now leaves the city without a major art gallery.

For weeks afterwards I was singing 'The Devil don't own me, St Peter don't own me, so baby take my hand and sing' but now I can't remember the tune properly or any of the other words - any help gratefully received and thank you for the music xx
