Absolutely, the original track was almost there already. Just erase the odd beats of the higher notes of rhythm guitar, and you'd have stride.

Trance and techno do share characteristics here and there, since they split in the 90s, to my knowledge. Based on what I've heard, industrial trance is a bit faster and more harmony-centric.
