Actually your coil is the condenser cooled on the outside of it in a large pipe or barrel with constant cold water surrounding the coil. The diagram tou made wouldn't be very productive.

Samahon is Ukrainian terminology of moonshine and in Ukraine in villages every third house had a still so no shortage of Horilka . Myself I've tried some Samohon some were rough like your eyebrows dropping off because of the fumes or zany ladies using it to remove nail varnish yep that's how rough it was back then in 1992 in Ukraine.

That product is murky because his setup "puked"......nothing that's distilled properly should look like that. Also, there should be NO "high pressure" in the pot...it's an open system. This guy's PhD must be in music, or modern dance.

The spout is too low when it kicks up it's called throwing up you would be most likely not receiving as much Steam rather the pushback of fluids from the bottom

Hi, could someone please clarify the sprouts aspect? are the potato sprouts, or what? :)
@casualguydaniel2 жыл бұрын
@@GlobalChannel-js4zl Hey, so basically you need mashed potatoes *and* potato sprouts, preferably chopped/smashed up. Sprouts contain an enzyme called amylase, that converts starches to fermentable sugars that become alcohol. It's similiar to making maltose syrup and real corn syrup. Both use methods with sprouts and some kind of starchy food. In this case, it's potatoes that get used. Their starch gets converted to sugar by amylase, and then sugars get converted to alcohols using yeast.
@casualguydaniel2 жыл бұрын
@@GlobalChannel-js4zl You can also use sprouted potatoes. The only thing you are hunting from sprouts is amylase, so use it in whatever form you want. You can also buy extracted amylase itself, no need for sprouts then.

YOU! are the first person I have heard that has gotten it right. Yeast do not eat sugar. Its the enzymes that yeast creates that breaks down the sugars. I could scream at all the endless brewers out there that say yeast eat sugar.

Yeasts feed on sugars and starches! They turn this food into energy and release carbon dioxide gas as a result. This process is known as fermentation. The carbon dioxide gas made during fermentation
@NormBaker.2 жыл бұрын
@@musicmike1960 Your are wrong brother. Yeast do not feed on Sugars. I am a old person who have been fermenting things for a long time. When I started, I read endless literature from professional bio chemist and so forth on yeasts. Yeast eat nutrients in the flour. Not the starches or the sugars. That is why whole wheat will ferment yeast greater then white flour. One can also make a fermentation from hops. No sugars of starches involved. Explain that to me ? Second...why does yeast growth suddenly stop in flour dough after a given period of time? It should go on endlessly with all those starches as you say. No. Any baker will tell you the yeast fermentation stops after about 18 hours. Third, Why then do you have to feed a yeast starter? It's because the yeast have eaten up a ll the nutrients in the flour. Also..do you know what yeast nutrient is... that kind one buys at their local wine supply store??? It's Urine. Yeast love the things in Urine. If you don't believe me...look up Yeast Nutrient. I am glad I could inform any reader who reads this. I would bet you are set in your ways. Anyhoo...good luck to you.

@@musicmike1960 Thanks. Hopefully you can research it more in the future. Do a equal test with sugar water and then a separate water batch with a grain/whole wheat. You will see the yeast in sugar water don't last very long compared to the whole wheat and water.

Sprouting is the natural process by which seeds or spores germinate and put out shoots, thus creating sprouts.
