@@ArmstrongRacing hey dude I finally took the car out on the hwy... So it's a Toyota starlet with a c52 box. It is sitting on 3250 rpm at 100kmh... I rev it to 8000... Does almost 180 in third gear. The remaining two years are almost useless lol I Read through your internet blog and it seems like the c60 is the way to go... Can you please point me in the right direction to get a good LSD for it? Thanks again for your help mate

Sounds like you have something similar to the 3.7FD, the only way to know for sure is to use a paint pen a mark all of the differential gear teeth through the drain hole.

no because the C60 has reverse levers on the 1st gear side and not the 5th gear side. Now if you fully disassemble the shifter assembly and put all of the gts parts on the C59 shaft....that may work

Most of the cases are the same inside but you need to use one with the correct mounts

I'm not sure I understand your question about the axles, axle splines and lengths can differ based on chassis. You can use the other 5th gear sets, but you need to match the syncronizer and shift hub

But still, there could be problems with the wrong number/shape of grooves on the synchro and shift mechanism. - If I understood correctly?

There are several spacers and the shafts need to be assembled correctly with all matching gear ratios.

You don't want the 5/6 shift rod to contact that, or you won't be able to shift into 6th

I have a c50 out of a first gen xb I like the gear ratio can I use 1-5 from the xb shafts on the c60 with the 6 gear from c60 and where are you getting your rebuild kits from ? It’s just going in a daily driver I do a lot of high way driving

You have to do the whole manual gearbox conversion too(ECM, pedals, mounts, shifter)

They’re made with better quality steel and their process results in a more controlled suspension. They also have many different options for tuning

why did u specifically use the c60 shifter?

I’m still using the stock Yaris shifter and it shifts fine.

Ohhh you are asking about the shift selector. That has to be from the C60 because the reverse gate is by 1st instead of being on the same shaft as 5th in the 5 speeds.

Because there is an extra gear on the end (6th), making the end cap longer.

I got the DS over BR thinking they maintained performance without sacrificing all the comfort because of the marketing used in fortune autos for digressive damping ..learning that's not exactly the case haha car was bought as a race car but still like to take occasional Sunday drives with the lady lol

the ride quality got better after getting a corner balance, the swift springs alone were used to tune the amount of rotation.

steering wheels are universal, the main thing to consider is the adapter. Keep in mind you will lose your steering wheel audio controls and the airbag plug will need a resistor

I believe you need to buy a special engine side mount, but that should be all.

Direct fit just need a special side mount is what I'm guessing

Armstrong Racing I cant find much on the newer corolla gearbox. If it has the same final ratio as the c60 I’ll be happy as I want it to be good for highway cruising too as it’ll be dailied, and like that the parts would be easier to come by

The newer transmissions are E-series, there hasnt been any videos on them yet.

The 6 speed requires cutting the frame to fit, this is why most people stay with the 5 speed. I made a video on how to do that. I run my car on 91 octane here in California, no tune. Only mods was the header, exhaust, and catch can

Armstrong Racing the c60 gears into c50 gearbox vid? Would prefer if the corolla gears fit in as they’re easier to find. I saw a vid that involved cutting the frame for a 6spd, I thought that was for a echo though. Hoped the Yaris wouldn’t need cutting

C60 and 1NZ have different bell housings, that's why you need to swap C60 internals to the C50 case.

C50 bellhousing and center case+C60 bearings+C60 internals+C60 end cap....thats exactly correct.
