Hi Colin did you know that a firm were looking to install cable cars and a zip wire experience across Thirlmere only a few years ago! Also the carpark you stopped in for the walk always seems to have an ice-cream van parked in it in the Summer months. Also that road feom Keswick to Ambleside past Thirlmere is one of the most beautiful drives in the whole of the UK.

Hi Colin, like a first aid kit one small thing to add to you bag would be some tubigrip or sticky support bandage and small scissors. These can help if you start to get a niggle on a long hike and allow you to finish the walk with minimal discomfort

Roseberry Topping lol. Last time I was up there I was 7 years old doing a school sponsored sit with the class I was in. Initially I enjoyed it, was quite windy up there. I was taken back down after a good few hours after developing hypothermia, involved me needing to pee and piddling in the wind and it blew back on me. Memories!
