Love my PSB speakers and really enjoyed the documentary. I absolutely loved that the brand was made in Canada. So I was real sad to hear you offloaded manufacturing to China. Looks like i'll have to keep an eye out for vintage PSB speakers. I love my old 600's and Century 600i's I guess it wouldn't hurt to add a couple more.

My late Father, worked for Paul, at PSB for a long time. Im happy to know that my Dad had a great role to play in the development of PSB. My father since the early 90's. Has only kept PSB as our home audio. After his passing, my entire home system is made up of speakers from PSB going back from early 90's to mid 2000's that he installed and ive added onto! Best speakers in history!

Hearing these b 50's thru my 7 (seven), PSB's, I'd have to say another great speaker from PSB. Will a b 60 with a 6&1/2 " mid be next?

I came across these speakers a couple years ago, not thinking much about them other than “neat, vintage PSB, might be good”. So good in fact, they have been my primary music speakers ever since beating out my B&W DM620s and various others I’ve tried since. I just love how they sound, there is such a clarity and they just blanket the room in sound. I’m very curious to hear how the Passifs and new Passif 50s compare.

from Israel, Happy Anniversary - Paul Smith Barton. I'm a proud owner of a full 7.1 PSB system (main - GOLDi center double side and back speakers) for the last 25 years. I think i have changed every component of my audio gear, sometimes more than once - excluding the speakers, and not that i haven't looked for..... thanks for the joy and happiness for so many years.

Did he actually play? I ask because the sound did not match the bowing and fingering. So, he either did not play, or the video editor does not care about music.

My PSB Imagine T3s are paired with an EAR 864 pre and a Plinius A103 power. Talk about old school, but the setup works for me on a wide range of music from classical symphony to intimate jazz and modern bass excesses. Thank you, Mr. Barton.

Understood - However, I will safely assume the fireplace is not the other audio equipment used in this demo. Also, the purple speaker cable does not look like a firehouse on stands. The information I'm looking for - what electronics were used in this demonstration? My guess is - an old Radioshack receiver was not used. So, at what level of electronics is needed to duplicate this experience? Thanks

most articles on up firing atmos modules suggest that concentric speakers work best as the woofer and tweeter sounds will bounce reflect from one source so that the sound arrives at the samme time yet these seem to utilise a woofer with a space between them so wouldn't that result in the mid and high frequency reflects sound waves arriving at the MLP at different times?

Let’s not forget the other brand known as Mirage speakers, which were a delight to own. I had the omnipolar series and have since handed them down to my daughter. They just filled a room with sound. I have owned PSB’s among others, and the sound always made me feel proud to show them off.

As good as the speakers are, and I've had mine for some 25 years, the headphones were adequate sound and extremely poor quality mistakes! They simply fall apart. I see PSB producing a new headphone ( upmarket at over $ 750 US ) and hopefully better buit.

I have a pair of battle worn Avante speakers from the early 80s. I paid 40$cad 5 years ago and I love them. Being powered by my late 80s 120 watt Technics amp they sound great. Loud as hell and they only have 8" woofers but man they have a presence. Good for all the different music I play on them Heavy metal, hard rock, rock, prog rock ,80s pop, stuff like Kraftwerk ,Fatboys or Biz Markie etc. Really havent found a music format that don't sound good on these.

I have the M4U 2 and while the sound is great, the quality is incredibly disappointing. The overhead plastic part completely disintegrated after a couple years. This is apparently a very common problem. The earpads also don't hold up very well. Did you resolve these issues in the newer models?

I am a VERY proud owner of a pair of CustomSoundseries CW262 in-wall speakers that I purchased from Crutchfield in 2015 when I needed to replace the "Just OK in wall speakers my builder provided when I optioned for my whole home sound system in my large Great Room. They are wonderful speakers and it is sad that PSB chose to eliminate this product line. Fortunately, I am the beneficiary of their delving into this space long enough to get one pair. My use is not for Home Theater, but for whole home audio for the same sound throughout my home whether it is XM streaming, my Music Library broadcast or even Sporting events to stream team radio feeds vs. the hideous "Not Worth Listening too ESPN or other national TV commentary" ! (Sorry, Off Topic) PSB makes excellent products that are worth the cost to own and I am honored to own a pair that is no longer in their product line! Keep up the good work Paul and I'm sorry that I only own a single par of your fine products!
