Thank you very much for these videos! I have follow the steps to make a customized Solver and BC, with the solver passivScalarIcoFoam everything went well, but i could not compile the Boundary condition averageControlled. The error message was: wmake libso (myBoundaryConditions) ln: ./lnInclude make: *** No rule to make target 'Make/linux64GccDPInt32Opt/averageControlled/averageControlledFvPatchScalarField.C.dep', needed by 'Make/linux64GccDPInt32Opt/averageControlled/averageControlledFvPatchScalarField.o'. Stop. I am using OpenFOAM-v-2012 (openfoam.com version). Do you have any idea how could I fix this?

hello sir please how i can add a function to the differential equation in openfoam, especially the scale function, *like here : fvm::ddt(T) - (1/(1+dfra(T)*Lat/(CP*eT)))*fvm::laplacian(DT, T) == fvOptions(T) *for the continuous functions I managed to define them by this program in createFields.H volScalarField dfra ( IOobject ( "dfra", runTime.timeName(), mesh ), { 0.5-0*T } ); *but for the scale function i can't difinde (dfra(T)) *the function what i want add it is this: int fraction(int n); using namespace std; double dfra (double a) { double r; if(a>-0.5 && a<+0.5) r=1; else r=0; return r; } *Thank you

Please any one could explain in EXE-INC=$(LIB_SRC)/finitevolume/linclude they have mentioned the liberary finitvolume in EXE-LIBS=-lfinitevolum\-llduSolvers but why not lduSolver or if finitvolume library is mentioned in EXE-LIBS then why they have mentioned lduSolvers, although only finitevolum is mentioned in EXE-INC. kindly what is the rule.

I always get the error: setFields: symbol lookup error: setFields: undefined symbol: _ZN4Foam9UOPstream8beginRawEl when I run the setFields command, even in the opemFoam tutorials, what can it be?

Thanks for your video :) In OpenFOAM, I want to run the solver multiPhase/interFoam/RAS/floatingObject but by default it runs with a cuboid body, I have a cylindrical body in .stl format and I want to use it as a floating object. How can I do this? I have been able to insert the cylindrical mesh in blockMesh by using snappyHexMesh, but how can I use the cylinder as a floating object? Thanks if someone can help me out, I am doing a univerisity project

Dear Mr. Vucecic, i just followed your tutorial step by step. I have just one problem: I can compile the BC, but OF doesn't regocnize the new boundary condition.: Unknown patchField type averageControlled for patch type wall ... From function static Foam::tmp<Foam::fvPatchField<Type> > Foam::fvPatchField<Type>::New(const Foam::fvPatch&, const Foam::DimensionedField<Type, Foam::volMesh>&, const Foam::dictionary&) [with Type = double] in file /opt/openfoam5/src/finiteVolume/lnInclude/fvPatchFieldNew.C at line 134. Do you have any idea where i might have missed an entry? (OpenFOAM 5.0)

Sorry, my bad. I missed the libs ("libmyBoundaryConditions.so"); entry in the controlDict.

Thank you so much for the video.... very helpful :-D although I have a doubt regarding the selection of the derived BC in the beginning. How should I choose.? For example, I want to implement a time varying BC for which there are some derived BC's available. But choosing among them is kind of a big task for me now. How should I proceed?
