Thanks for the video, it would have been good to end it with some footage of it being ridden.

I just bought a 6'0 single fin, it looks just like this. It was made by a shaper here in Spain. I'm very excited to try it.

I used to shape boards. I’ve met up with Tom twice. Excellent human being. He’s super stoked on all things surf. I’ve watched and read some of his info over the past 15 or 39 yrs. I even had him build me an oil skin blank. As far as soft rails go I always found them to be much easier rail to rail. Tom is a legend. He will probably end up inventing some amazing new thing with old technology like an oiled paulownia hollow tow in foil board with some ancient twist. He will be in the surfing history books. Much respect.

Interesting, I d like to mention that these boards also work very well in normal waves, pretty much like a bodyboard, except that you won't perform tricks. Plus it is very cheap to build one.

You guys' stoke is contagious and beautiful to see!Of course, I could use the stoke added by a riding waves with gorgeous wahine in a white bikini, too!
I made a single fin about 6 months ago. The rails through the tail turned out to be softer than I'd originally planned. No hard edge. The board turns very well, maintains speed throughout. I'm now thinking this soft tail rail mistake was a blessing in disguise! Thanks for the video Tom!

Are you from Australia? Dang I was hoping there was some perfect place in the US like this. Lake Michigan waves aren't very consistent. California would work but the state is not in a good situation. Awesome video. I wish I could ride like you.
