The most emotional moment in gaming/movie history for me, alongside Zacks death. Only bittersweet thing about this moment was that I told myself, that at least she was with Zack now 💔😪😪

I don't understand how people can crying when she died. Her death looks very stupid because Cloud can use phoenix down and revive her, but he just left her body in the forgotten capital, so when she died her death didn't work on me

After FF7 Remake maybe we will wait 20 years later to disk 2 to suffer Aerith die again. And more 20 years later to play Advent Child Remake. And I would be more than 60 years old. Hope I could play when the time had come.

This song, along with her death broke me. I was a blubbering mess and every time I hear this song, I still get those same emotions I felt 23 years ago. I know at some point in the FF VII Remake, we'll have to revisit her death again; it has to happen for the sake of the story. I know in my heart I'll cry again then too. Aerith was the first video game character I cried over. Words can't explain the emotions, just listen to the beautifully crafted song and remember that she just wanted to do everything she could to help her friends, to save the planet.

Aeris died and I did not got the chance to give the Great Gospel to her. It was already too late. Sephiroth killed Cloud with the "dragon scene". I encountered Safer Sephiroth. I had the mystery over the first two materias. They almost got all the huge materias. Ruby Weapon was a "cookie". I did not face Omega Weapon. The ending was the Midgar City scene over RedXIII. Cloud dished all of them with the special group of "planet protectors".

People don’t understand... Final Fantasy 7 was perfect... When the story and music collided it gave us perfection. It gave us one of the best things in our life. A memory of a friend we all loved, but was taken from us by someone who just wanted to see the world burn.

to all who are new to final fantasy 7 and are planning to play the remake. be prepared to experience a death in a video game that will haunt you for the rest of your gaming life. I'm ready to get sad all over again.

Back in the days music could bring the characters and their emotions to life even more like they could with voices of their own. The music carries the story to another level of emotional impact. How I miss those days... It was also my first FF but I must say I'm extremely anxious about their remake, coming next year!

fucking beautiful. my dad played this game when he was a kid, and was the one to introduce me to video games. when i first played ff7 i knew someone was gonna die from seeing some spoilers, but i didn't know who. at first i thought itd be cait sith when he sacrificed himself in the temple of ancients. i had no idea that one of the most loving and just overall amazing characters would die. seeing aerith die was one of the few times a video game really hit me that hard.

I swear, when the song transitions back to the beginning, its even sadder than the first time you hear that piano note at the start. Its like the song gives you hope towards the end only to remind you that sometimes, the end is simply the end.

This song breaks me so much inside....I loved arieth, so was such a wholesome character...when it came to canon I was a cloud x arieth shipper but you know...after seeing final fantasy advent children....I'm so glad that she is finally with zack...Tifa and cloud can now live a nice life and one day can meet whom they love and miss in the after life...

Her death was over foreshadowed, and some memories never fade.

I played the game in 1997 and cried when she was killed. I'm 35 now in 2019 and the music has the same effect now as it did 22 years ago.
