This song is like the American national anthem. Every American knows, respects and treasures this song as a part of our collective soul

What was especially profound how this displayed her frailty and strength. She hits these high notes with her unique power and also breaks down. A tortured very talented performer in turmoil. This film did a fine job of showcasing Garland's life under the limelight.

Judy actually believed😢during the latter years of her life,,, that her life was worthless. 😢She didn't see herself,,,through the eyes of all her fans,,,just how amazing she was 1:39 💔 I wish she had 🌈

Bridget Jones, Roxie Hart, Judy Garland… The fact that fans of Renee Zellweger happily spar over which role is her career best-performance shows how powerfully talented of an actress she really is. It’s this one for me. Garland made a mighty comeback, and Zellweger made the comeback of the century in portraying her. Bravo to all, including the Oscar voters for getting it so right!

They should have used the original voice of Judy. Renee has a very good singing voice. But Judy's was one in a generation. And that's a big difference.

OMG Renee brings SUCKING to a whole new level in this movie. She sucks more than anyone has ever sucked before. It's like she's the Super Hero of Sucking! She can't sing for shit. OK, she'd be fine singing lullabies to a little kid but imitating Judy Garland? WTF???? Who thought this was a good idea? She's terrible. When Judy sand this song it made me tremble, Renee can't even get 1 note correct. This movie would have been OK if they had just dubbed Judy's singing. The have the original masters and could have done it well. Renee looks and sounds like a parody.

Incredible how they made her look like Judy with the wig and makeup. I’m a makeup artist and I do work in front and back of camera besides that, and I love making people feel good about themselves or making them into a character like this woman was. She has a tiny petite thin body like Judy had.

@RevelationswithRabbi Жыл бұрын
ok, i'm sorry, no. Renee doesn't sound anything like Judy, barely looks anything like Judy. Y'all have no true attention to detail, you're like ppl who think a new model of a car or suv is entirely different than the previous yet failing to recognize little has been changed and you're just being exploited. Same story with this movie. I refused to see it and I finally watched this vid and I was right all along. Disappointing. She's a paid actor, she is supposed to be able to act...but when you're portraying a very** iconic character with an iconic sounding voice, you'd think a millionaire would put more work into training their voice to be able to sound better like the person being portrayed.

the ppl who gave Renee her oscar are the same system and institution which denied Judy hers, and they haven't changed. We see this behavior continue to this day with many other actors.
