which pedal are you using ? Fuzz Face - Overdrive ? no delay ?
@MtheBass
@MtheBass 24 күн бұрын
Hi, in the description I did put Fuzz Face into overdrive...The guitar volume is rolled back to taste/clean up... The fuzz face is a Crest which is an old Dave Fox (foxrox) pedal.. (same as used by Stone Roses John Squire) The overdrive is an old hand wired Lovepedal eternity.. (basically a tubescreamer.. ) no delay as such on it, just a tad or room/verb. On the original track the other effect guitars have Binson echo on them.. violin bow/slide etc.. I was just running through chords in this vid. You might want to check out a Thorpy Scarlet Tunic pedal.. which covers the Selmer amp sound.. Syd Barrett was a Selmer fan.. If anyone reading owns or has used a Scarlet Tunic.. please leave a comment.. I've heard really good things about it so.. that could be cool pedal to consider... Hope that helps @lorenzobasileus... Best...M

The little big muff was my very first effects pedal. I bought it from a pawn shop in 1977. Wish I still had it.

Really good. I've been playing/trying to play it for a good while. It sort of runs away & i end up trying to go to fast. I've started playing the g, d, a bit using bar cords & find it helps me slow it down a bit

Amazing! Bravo! I can never decide if Syd was a better acoustic player or electric, but this song is so crazy good i put it right there with Rats. Man, you should totally do a play through of that (the all acoustic version off of Opel)! Someone posted a “tab” of it once and there is just one Em chord! But my god, what Syd could do with one chord!

What’s the strumming pattern
@MtheBass
@MtheBass 6 ай бұрын
click on the setting icon (the cog) or if your on mobile the three pips on the side it will give you options.. one is to slow the video down, this keeps the same key but slows down the video you'll be able to see the strum pattern more easily.. hope that helps cheers.. M

So, at the time of recording, this wasn't the price they have reached now days.. which is pretty hefty, it's still a great pedal, I still use it and it still sounds great.. there are more money friendly pedals out there as well as some clones.. it's always worth keeping an eye out though, amazing where old stuff turns up.. : )

Hi, thanks.. Overdrive is The Lovepedal Eternity.. it's an old one when he made them by hand..(basically a relative of the Tube Screamer) the second one I backed off the volume and engaged a Fuzz Face in front of it and use the volume and pick attack to suit... Cheers..M

@MtheBass
@MtheBass Жыл бұрын
Hi Charlie... strum pattern varies through the tune.. I do a slow run through.. and you can always go on settings and click the speed control to slow it down.. but it's also good to add your own interpretation.. and play as you feel.. as well as what you hear.. work through section at a time.. hope that helps.. Cheers...M

Hi Lee, glad you liked the video.. bit short but hopefully useful... I did a play through of it.. sadly youtube wont publish due to copyright.. a shame as it was a ripper.. : ( Hmm Paul on Taxman etc.. a prolific time for him..leading up to Revolver - I called it George's part as he played it on the Promo Film at the Budokan & concerts.. George had a brief play with a Burns Nu-Sonic Bass too, but, even those guys forget who played what.. lol.. Cheers...Marcus
