What height do you put the line on the wall?

Hi, I do 36 on the ends and 34 in the middle so I can practice with different heights and positions. Has a slight bow in the line.

If you want to practice fast action eye hand coordination for dinking and vollys, then a DinkBuddy is great for indoor practice when the weather is bad and you don't have to chase balls. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKfVZ4eIecyoZ6s

I repeat the first two exercises with back hand. That makes it the 7 minute workout. Being left handed I need to keep that back hand working. Thanks for the video

Thank you so much for putting theses pickle balls drills together so us beginners can learning faster. It’s gets abit boring sitting and waiting for your turn to play at recreation centers when there’s a line of 6+ sets of players ahead of you. Was thinking about purchasing another paddle to practice while I waiting for my turn to come up. What do you think? Thanks again✨

You’re welcome and so glad you enjoyed them! I think getting another paddle is a great idea for that very reason.

Nice video, I'm not sure how drills #4 and #5 have anything to do with hand-eye coordination.
@ThePickleballExperience
@ThePickleballExperience Жыл бұрын
Thank you, #4 is def more of a feel/touch exercise that will help with control. #5 is very specifically a hand eye drill using and extremely small target. It would be similar to throwing darts.

Thank you very much for your video! It is so beautifully presented, so clearly explained! You are born to be a teacher! After watching your video and thinking about my pickleball errors, I realized that, indeed, I need to work on my hand-eye coordination. I know that I oftentimes cannot catch a ball with my left hand when someone tosses it to me across the court, just miss the ball when trying to grab it - a clear indication of a hand-eye coordination deficiency. Inaccurate paddle position which leads to unforced errors is also a part of not sufficiently well trained hand-eye coordination. I worked on some of your drills today and thoroughly enjoyed them! You made a joke about joggling, but probably a learning sequence towards joggling three balls will be helpful, too. I subscribed to your channel and look forward to watching your other videos to learn how to practice in the garage or on a deck. THANK YOU!

Great drills. When doing # 1, SWEET SPOT, I find myself chasing the ball around the room. Is this an indication of something I am doing wrong or just need more time?
@ThePickleballExperience
@ThePickleballExperience Жыл бұрын
Thanks for writing us! It definitely takes time and practice. Something that can help is just trying to do 2 in a row and then catching the ball in your other hand. Once you feel comfortable with that, try for 3 in a row. And so on…

Watched your video right before heading to the gym to do some wall practice in one of the racquetball courts since it's rainy here in "sunny" SoCal today. Loved your idea of having the zone right above the net line to help keep my 3rd shot drives down! Had a great practice session playing "points" and having the target zone helped me focus - can't wait to try it tomorrow in real PB games. Thanks!

hi just couple questions. what should my grip be like during these drills.. loose? firm. really tight? and what is objective or what am i learning from "insane edge" drill? thank you Joel
@ThePickleballExperience
@ThePickleballExperience 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Joel, definitely a loose grip. The objective on edge of insanity is just a more focused hand eye drill. The smaller the target we use for the ball to hit, the harder it becomes. Once we can hit smaller targets more consistently, the better chance we have of making solid contact in the sweet spot of our paddle. Hope this helps. Jem
