What happened to your camera when it was broken??, I have one with the same problem and when I turn it on it turns off, it only turns on for a moment with the Fujifilm logo and then it dies, I don't know if it's because of the battery cover, help pls
@christofsmanlib13858 ай бұрын
Hey there. Must admit, not used this old camera for a long time now. But I too had that problem. I noticed very quickly, that it was the lens motor not being able to push out the lens when you turn on. Something was jamming the lens, causing the camera to auto shut off immediately, to save it breaking anything more. Bit beyond my memory right now, but think I recall using my air compressor to blow out any crumbs or dirt from in-between the lens sections. BUT, make sure you cover the glass part of the lens!! Hope that helps at least a little 👍😊

My cover of my fujifilm, the one in the left side with a soft texture on the first image on the vid, becomes loose. I'm not sure if I just need to put glue or mighty bond or else. What do you recommend? I'm far from our service center so not sure what to do.
@christofsmanlib13853 жыл бұрын
Hey there. That's exactly the purpose of the video, to fix that issue. Obviously that cover, needs to still be opened to get access to memory card and batteries. By using my idea in the video, ot allows you to simply undo it at anytime you want to access the cover. Hope that helps 😀

When were the lights and barriers first installed there?
@christofsmanlib13853 жыл бұрын
Hey there. That is a very good question! Exact date is beyond my history knowledge unfortunately, but my VERY knowledgeable Ex BR mate, says that a Flag Man was still being used into the early 90's, until the old TAR contact ceased. Also the barriers actually are recycled from another location on the docks, when the docks layout was ammended. Hope that helps ☺️
@AutoUnder3 жыл бұрын
Oh wow, history is a lot more complicated than I thought; so did those barriers used to be on the swing bridge and then replaced with the Tully barriers or are they from somewhere else completely? I remember ones of the guards from RSR told me the Tully barriers used to be car park barriers before they were put in there
@christofsmanlib13853 жыл бұрын
@@AutoUnder The guard you mention i've no doubt will be Martin or Clarkey as he's known if you've seen Nodrog's KZbin blogs. He's our 'Radar' of RSR (he'll curse me for putting that in writing, hahaha!) Doubtful they would have been on the swingbridge, the bridge itself is too modern in grand scheme of things. More likely another place on the docks that is not even there anymore. I'll have some more info on Strand Rd. to follow hopefully in the near future, my formentioned Ex BR mate is asking one of his old colleagues (from one railway bible mind to another, lol).

I used to drive to work down Strand Road, and I was periodically stopped by the flagman. There never was any signal or barrier even in 1992.

Does anybody know roughly when they stopped the coal trains to Ribbleton?
@christofsmanlib13855 жыл бұрын
Hey there. Interesting question! Question for you though, do you mean "coal trains going to the brick works or somewhere else?"
@69waveydavey5 жыл бұрын
Coal trains to the coal sidings at Ribbleton! off ribbleton dr. The old Longridge branch. I just checked google earth and the line's still there. I was thinking of doing the miley tunnel as it's 20 years since I did it last and it just occurred to me the coal yard's no longer there.

My problem with this fix is that you can no longer mount on a tripod, however this can be overcome by welding a nut to the head of the screw that the tripod can screw into.
@christofsmanlib13855 жыл бұрын
Hey there. You will find you can even still use a tripod, simply temporarily replace the short screw for your tripod screw. Obviously I cannot vouch this would be the case for every tripod out there, but it certainly was ok for 2 of my tripods. Hope that helps. Thanks for commenting :-)

Hey folks. I suspect this fix will work for many Fuji Camera's, not just the S1500. Also no alterations to the camera itself are required, so completely reversible. You can even still use a tripod, simply temporarily replace the short screw for your tripod screw. Hope it helps you all... ENJOY!
