i tend to agree with you as we look for turbulent air to keep flying

Basic training and later cross country gliding is not as half as bad. Aerobatics (no matter if powered or in gliders is vomit inducing). As you can see here it is mostly fairly smooth. There are of course days where it is very choppy. But beware in powered airplanes you are hammering straight through thermals at higher speeds that bangs you around much worse. Do not believe such tales from obviously non glider pilots, but try it yourseff. Many clubs offer introduction courses for a couple of weeks to check out if it is for you or not with no further obligations when you decide to walk away after.

@@kaihorstmann2783 i did a couple of lessons in the glider but i couldnt keep up both gliding and powered aircraft so decided to concentrate on power for now, i may pick it up again but ill see lol

i agree, i was just telling someone else that recently, music can spoil things, myself included, weve all done it lol, however, in aviation sometimes its needed as some instructors dont like people to hear everything they are saying inclding ATC, this is done so people dont use my videos for flight instruction,

This contains numerous mistakes. Here's mine. The flarm knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is - whichever is greater - it obtains a difference or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviation to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position that it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is is now the position that it wasn't, and if follows that the position that it was is now the position that it isn't. In the event that the position that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation. The variation being the difference between where the flarm is and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too may be corrected by the GEA. However, the flarm must also know where it was. The flarm guidance computer scenario works as follows: Because a variation has modified some of the information that the flarm has obtained, it is not sure just where it is. However, it is sure where it isn't, within reason, and it know where it was. It now subtracts where it should be from where it wasn't, or vice versa. And by differentiating this from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be and where it was, it is able to obtain the deviation and its variation, which is called error.

Lov has been fully repaired and is back flying after it’s unfortunate landing incident. A low hours solo pilot got into a situation with pilot induced oscillation upon landing and ran out of energy causing a heavy landing. It did though what a ASK-21 is designed to do and that is protect the pilots when it doesn’t all go to plan.

I suppose every airport is different however because QNH is widely used , if you have to deviate from the circuit for any reason or even exit the TMA then you’re already on the QNH otherwise if you’re on the QFE you would need to calculate the QNH , but it’s a good question , as far as the exams , I’ve done all my exams however I’m having to redo all of them as you have 2 years from your last exam to get your licence and I’m approaching the month I did my last exam 2 years ago and it’s not likely I’ll get my licence by august , which I don’t mind really

You never know…your CFI may think you’re good enough. I’ve just pushed 71 and recently passed all PPL exams and got FROTL. We use QFE on circuits which is useful … we are 298’ above MSL. When I go across country we get QNH. Up until recently we only had a short runway so lots of cross wind experiences during landings…one or two cablamo’s! I’m hoping to get my PPL this summer. Used to fly to Glasgow auditing bank…you’re out in Paisley? Many a cross wind white knuckle landing when working in Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Good luck Laura…not enough female pilots.

I noticed on the video audio that someone said it was a bit of a fast launch lol, it normally is a little less dramatic, but it really is an awesome feeling, only 1.2 g, the same as a passenger plane i suppose, the angle of attack is about 45 degrees, very different from the aero tow

Thank you for your comment, this was two flights, one with the tug and one with the winch launch, may I ask what boundary you are referring to lol im not a glider pilot, this was just an experience for me so im not sure what you mean, sorry for my naivity

@@flyingwithlaura3680 when this pilot brought you in for your landings he came in low over the hedge to save landing and stopping to far down the field. We have all done it but safety says to come over this boundary with safe height. Still glade you enjoyed your flights there is nothing to match gliding.

@@petethewrist ah i see, I believe because the water is there that is their approach height etc, you learn something new everyday. im a powered aircraft student and will soon be embarking on my gliders licence, how long have you been gliding

@@flyingwithlaura3680 I have been into hang gliding since 1976. I had a twenty two year break from it and did sail planes for about 12 year before getting back into hang gliding and sailing. I do not glide at all now and only have two old hang gliders for low flying on sand dunes. Wish you well for the future. I just can't believe every one does not want to fly. Cheers Pete
