Beautiful model! What size rubber are you using and how many winds gave you a 2.15 minute flight?

I use about 1mm wide rubber around 1800 turns. This is the first flight and a rubber is just for testing. In the end, it will be wound about 2,400 turns.

I appreciate all your words. Thank you so much! I am also interested in large aircraft. I would like to build one if possible, but unfortunately I don't have a small workshop and a large airfield nearby. So I have to build with this size.

Ah OK I understand, 😉 I love one of your old video about Rubber Powered Autogyros Free Flight Contest if I remember well.. These craft were very cool to watch flying... This is the only video of its kind... So I was wondering where all those rubber powered FF Autogyro fliers are?🤔 Is there no more Autogyro Contest?!😔 And what about building a small Autogyro???!!😃🤗😊

@@ZUSMANELEN It was 20 years ago, and I organized it as a summer event for our club. It was a time when rubber-powered Autogyros were not so common and we didn't know if they could actually fly. But I remember the relief when our members' models managed to fly well.

Thank you so much for the kind words. There are three types of adhesives used for balsa. Very thin CA glue, water-based bond, and "Duco cement" diluted with acetone.

素晴らしい完成度のピーナッツでびっくりです。機体フレームへの紙の貼り付けは和製ののりを使うのでしょうか？　また貼り付け時処理した紙になんらかの方法で湿度を持たせて張るのでしょうか？貼り付け後の霧吹きなどは禁物なんですよね。それから和紙はライトプレーン用の和紙なんでしょうか？　もしよろしければ教えて下さい。

ありがとうございます。紙の貼り付けにはトンボの「アクアピット」という商品を薄めて使っています。水性の糊であれば特にこだわりはありません、しわが出来た時に水で緩めて修正するのに便利なことが理由です。通常のピーナッツ機でしたら一般的にはエサキの紙（現在は廃業）など薄手の和紙を使います、そしてフレームに貼ってから霧吹きをします。硬い（重い）バルサを使っていれば何の問題も起きませんが、機体を軽量化するためにはソフトバルサを使いますからこの引っ張りに負けて翼や胴体が捻じれたり醜くなってしまいます。そこで引っ張りの弱い和紙を探すことになるのですが最適なものを見つけることが出来ません。現在使っている紙は昔のタイプ打ち原紙に使用されていた紙で、引っ張り（縮み）が弱いので弱い（細い）バルサでも頑張ってくれます。しかし表面がラフな紙ですから機体に貼る前に木枠に貼って水で霧吹きして一度収縮させ、薄いめたドープを塗った後に紙の表面を１０００番程度のペーパーでサンディングしています。紙の表面の毛羽を取る目的なのですがかけ過ぎると逆効果となります。もちろん機体に貼った後にも霧吹きはしますがアルコールの水割りです。長時間飛行させるためには機体を軽量化するのが一番の課題でその為に紙とバルサの「せめぎあい」が起きてしまいます。美しく完成させ長く飛行させるにはいろいろな問題を克服しないといけないのでかなり奥の深い世界となってきます。

ご教授有難うございます。タイプライター用紙をお使いなんですね。大変参考になります。あらかじめ木枠に貼り付け縮みを調整するのは素晴らしいアイデアですね。それから機体に貼ったあとの霧吹きの水の量をアルコールを混ぜて調整するのも素晴らしいアイデアですね。私は作業机の脇に加湿器と湿度計を置いて湿度を色々と調整してやったことがありますが、なかなかうまく行きませんでした。貴殿の作品は完成度が高く飛行も美しく賞讃に値します。色々と教えていただきありがとうごさいました。いつかお会いできる日を楽しみにしております。

ありがとうございます。0.8ミリ厚の航空ベニアで翼形を2枚作ります。それをリブの深さ分ずらして接着します。そうする事で同じものが何枚も切り出す事が出来ます。
