@@786learningskill9 Do not focus on the prompt, rather on your personal story. Sometimes I like to work backward. Work on a story and then match prompt.

Always check your college list. Next look at college requirements, do they need 4 years of a foreign language? Or are they OK with 3? Colleges like to see foreign language all 4 years and a progression. So plan accordingly. It shows consistency and rigor.

@@GiftedGabber I’m planning for BSMD programs. Like 3 of my family members attended pennstate Jefferson bsmd program, and they did not have all 4 yrs of language-this may be because pennstate Jefferson only requires 2 years. I just thought prioritizing my math and science classes>foreign language as I have at least 3 yrs of Spanish (including 1 yr in middle school). Thank you though I will definitely look at colleges

@@GiftedGabber also I have another question-this is my biggest problem at the moment and I really really hope you can answer!! As I said I’m a 10th grader, and I’m taking Honors chemistry right now. I took honors bio last year in 9th (got all As in both and every class). I’m planning to take either AP chemistry OR AP biology next year, but I can not decide on which. I am going to also be taking honors physics next year, as well as AP statistics and Honors precalculus , so no room for both classes next year at once. As I said, I plan for BS/MD OR BS/DO programs, and I’m not sure which would look best/fit my scheudel best for next yr my junior yr. Keep in mind that I will take both courses in Hs, I’m just not sure which to take next year. Ap chem is vv hard at my school due to the teacher, and so I worry I jeopardize my grades and possibly get B. aP bio is easier and ik I can do good in it. But Ap chem I can also do good or the best i possible can if taken next year BECAUSE I’m taking Honors chemistry rig now and it would be a continuation of it you know? Do you know what most of your students generally do? Do they take AP bio or Ap chemistry in 11th and the other in 12th, if they can only pick one? I intend to major in BIo or do BSMD, SO IDK WHICH LOOKS BEST FOR BSMD IN 11th grade you know? (I have a family friend who is in Drexel BSMD right now, and he took Hon bio in 9, Hon chem in 10, AP BIO in 11, and AP chem in 12. (He actually finished AP chem in 12th with a C+ but still got in because of SAT/other grades/ it being 12th grade so they wouldn’t repeal their admission. I go to different school, and so I’m not sure if AP bio or AP chemistry first in 11th grade. Also keep in mind in 12th I have AP calculous BC, AP psychology, and AP physics (maybe won’t take it but think so I should bc BSMD vv hard to get into and kids often take it) in addition to AP bio or chem. Pls, I beg, can you please help me? I really love your videos, your Facebook page, and everything you do to help kids and I would genuinely appreciate any advice!!!!

@@alichaudhry5791 AP Biology is the way to go. Pre-med programs look for Bio, Chem, Physics, and Math. Please refrain from following another student's journey, circumstances are very different. Take AP Biology for sure, and make room for AP Psychology (easy class), AP Calc BC is a great addition. Take another AP, AP Econ perhaps? Doesn't only have to be Science, extend yourself to language APs like AP Lang and AP Lit. Colleges are looking for rigor, make sure your profile shows that.

Yes I’m taking APuSH right now in 10th grade (A+ in 1 marking period and As in the last 2), and will take AP English Lang as wrlll next year (maybe others as well) So about the issue with AP bio vs AP chem for junior and the other in senior year, you say AP bio next year and then Chem senior year? Is this what most of your students do? I am all for this, bjt the only thing holding me back is my worry of not being able to handle or doing poorly in my senior year when I would have (AP calc BC or AB, AP physics (not sure which yet), AP Psychology, and Ap chemistry-that means a LOADED and rigorous senior year schedule. But so you think Ap bio in junior year is the way to go? Would that make this junior year scheudle look to easy: Ap bio, AP English Language, AP statistics, Honors precalculus, Honors Physics and Honors history (not Ap bc don’t want to overload and also I’m taking APUSH already in this year)
