Just why did this woman act so cruel from going to love caring to cruel and manipulative. I just don’t get it?! Plus He is he gonna get his son back and what happens after the justice system failed the father and what about the son? Did he also suffer so much from the mother?! This is why I hate this world so much! 🤬

you do such a great job of really capturing the moment! the look on his face when he goes in on the wax, the way Justin laughs after "I collect sidelong glances" - and of course the hip thrusts lololol. I think my favourite thing might just be the emergency services bit though. Yes, please rescue me from this man 😆🤣 so glad to see more of these lovely intros!!!

I have so much love for this video. The way you have Argo's fingers webbed, the way Fitzroy's ears move, the little flashes to Argo's rage growing as well... My gosh. I just finished listening to this episode for the first time and this was on my YT feed, and it is glorious.

as someone who has had 2 epileptic seizures in the past, i can say its different for anyone who has theirs. mine was affected probably because of medications I DECIDED i should take. but ive had a friend who passed away many years ago that was handicapped, in wheelchair having epileptic seizures plus his son who was not handicapped, but had a problem with his foot (or his mom did) had seizures but his could have been brought on by stress and the world around him. he did have medication though so it could have been that as well but that was when i was much much younger. another way is sometimes we see things and think "wow, that sucks... i wonder how they felt after" and later some how adopt it as own. god works in mysterious ways, if you really want to know something GOD will show you, but please dont adopt having seizures. the first time i woke up from one i remembered only that my eyes rolled to the back of my skull and that everything went black. woke up crying the first time because it was traumatizing. the 2nd time i was all "it happened again, didnt it?" cute nurse next to me said yeah, it did!

Who’s saying disabled people are bad people due to their disabilities? And regarding this DEI nonsense, drop it. In the USA we have ADA laws that work, so stop the ableism talk. The only time I was fired due to my epilepsy I made an appeal to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and I was reinstated with backpack; my lost vaccination and lost sick time were fully restored. Coincidence the lady who fired me eventually went on the to serve as the committee chair for DEI. Once the department was established she then became the Assistant Vice President for DEI. It would be comical if it wasn’t so serious. These “able bodied“ wokesters would condemn me for my “lack of understanding” or sensitivity simply because I don’t advertise I have epilepsy or make unreasonable demands. DEI is a Marxist program. The pre DEI laws work perfectly fine! I am evidence of it!

Even without him blaming his terrible behavior on disabilities the way he described his "creative" process is jsut so mind boggingly backwards. He basically sadi that he would start copying other people's stuff as placeholder to structure his work and then forget that he copied it (even though he somehow knows that this is his process of writing) but who actually writes like that ?! These essays are supposed to be his view, his oppinion and he starts this by just copying entire artticles into a google doc or what? I have adhd, I have memory issues and I have written properly sourced academic stuff. Even with a report you dont just start by copying other people's stuff, it's like wanting to write a fantasy book and deciding to copy the Lord of the Rings wholesale first and then "reworking it". The way he claims he wanted to work is basically, plagiarize but then try to hide it better by rewording everything more and that he just forgot the rewording for the most part. Except when he talked about the trans perspective he stole where he just rephrased it, weird how that just appeared in his script, he must've wrote it and forgot about it, well better search and replace trans with queer.

Thb I understand why people would doubt if James actually has epilepsy. To people unfamiliar with his content on patreon, it does seem like it came completely out of nowhere, and James had broken people's trust in him by repeatedly lying again and again. People not believing a known liar like him without any kind of evidence isn't "appauling," if anything, it's only natural.

I lovethis video and how fair you are about everything. It also helps me feel seen as I'm also disabled with ADHD that does come with memory issues. I often make similar mistakes when writing fanfiction. Something i thought was mine was actually from a movie or show 20-30 years ago. However, the thing that makes me doubt all of Somerton's excuses was the fact he changed the reason why his mother's life insurance got denied: for months during videos and streams it had been undeclared depression, then it was suddenly diabetes for that particular video. Out of all the things to lie about/alter, that never should've been one of them.

I feel like it bears mentioning too, the “my therapist says it’s probably due to my recent diagnosis of ADHD, but I don’t know if I want to come out and say that” feels very much like he wanted to put the excuse out there but at the same time remove his culpability for suggesting it. “I’m not saying this, guys, my therapist is!”

I also don’t doubt that he has ADHD, it’s just the way this was presented rubbed me the wrong way. It feels more appropriate to say to your friend rather than to your large audience about your plagiarism. I dunno, I feel like some people can use the idea they’re going to therapy as an excuse, padded with the idea that they’re echoing the words of an authority rather than trying to justify their own action.

Using a disability as an excuse by telling a sob story that isn't related at all to the issue at hand is super manipulative.

Hearing Somerton's excusing plagiarism on his epilepsy makes me think of my sister, who used to pull the special needs card when she got busted for something with people. The thing is, her special needs were a speech and language delay and I used to bust her when she used it for things that were nothing to do with speech or language. On the other hand, I have memory issues, which I cannot rule out started from a cycling accident where my helmet compacted from the force I landed with, and I dissociate, but I've never plagiarised.
