The enhanced edition is a huge improvement of an already awesome game, i just tried to play it yesterday for a quick test but simply i couldn't stop, honestly i never played anything more immersive than Metro Exodus. 10/10

My memory has been definitely deranged. I remember when i fist time exprienced this game i thought the graphical fidelity was hottest shit in the market. Those graphic were actually very average.

I will say that the comparison does not do the game justice, the reason why the enhanced version looks that bright is probably because of the HDR effect + RTX. The point of it is to still see detail within the shadows while being dark, I'm sure that if the game was recorded in HDR format and posted on youtube as such, it would be a much bigger difference.

The enhanced version has more rays bouncing and carrying color for further distances, making everything brighter. While it's gorgeous and impressive, the game would obviously benefit from being darker with more contrasting shadows, like the first two games. Can't remember if the baked lighting was darker, or if the enhanced version is bringing the environments closer to the original baked lighting designs.

Looks better, and runs a lot better than STALKER 2. FUCK Unreal Engine 5.

It runs amazing on my 4070 super with all the RT stuff enabled.

While the original is more gritty and darker. But the darkness is too much for me, like its almost pitch black that it blocks some details.

They’re making a fourth one as we speak. They said it’ll be released when it’s ready meaning they plan on taking their time. Imagine it’s released in 2033 and they just nuke us and say fuck it live action metro 😂

Thanks! i still own a old corsair kit with the exact latency and speed and since black friday is coming i was looking into getting 32GB. But i found the same serial and speed number from someone who sold it second hand for another 16GB kit for like 20 bucks. Saves me like 30 bucks ill just re-use and fill the slots with that kit to hit 32GB ram instead.

i don't like the blue tint i went back to the normal one. also the dark parts are so bright its like you have the brightness cranked up. does look good but it throws off the emersion a lot.

RT crashes on my laptop I'm playing without it it's really annoying although i really liked RT in the game

Love Ray Tracing and all the modern updates on the details, but what I dont like is the killing of mood with overly lit and saturated atmosphere, that's not moody anymore. Skies are almost blown our overexposed and the shadows are almost none, it's not a dream world anymore to make you focus on something, it feels like when you wake up from a dream and everything is bright. Im not hating on technology, but the wrong use of it. Please dont kill the mood, just to show off all the details. Story is more important. Ignore all I said, if this can be fixed in the game : D

On scenes where it's not so drastic of a difference, i think the original looks better most of the time. Darker. More black. More realistic.

To this day this is the most impressive ray traced game I've ever seen and played. It also runs great too.

En exteriores el enhanced es superior pero en interiores se ve como con un filtro azul o como si hubiera una luz exagerada el hdr no se ve realista como si las paredes emitieran luz ahi no funciona bien a si que prefiero lo oscuro del original

most of the time i prefer ray traced gi, but in this case i definitely don't. everything is way too bright, lacks contrast and then on top that horrible depth of field that makes everything look like a miniature object filmed with big sensor lol.

So lets see... You are supposed to give away half of your FPS so that you can see a couple of extra shadows when you are stopped? And before you start to cry, I have a 4070 ti super that is more than capable of handling RT gaming, and I still cant see the big deal

Honestly to me the standard version looks better and more realistic. Especially when it comes to atmosphere. I could not see any difference in the npc models at all other than brightness has been cranked up a lot.

I am playing Metro Exodus (2019) for the third time since I bought it in 2023, in about 2 months I can afford to buy a 2080 TI and I am planning to play it again on the Enhanced Edition
