No, here in Holland it works differently from England. We have to report what we find in a database and we have to make it available for researchers. But we can keep it our selves. But if a museum Want anything from me for in their permanent collection than they can have it… 😅👍 So far I’ve given just but one thing to the museum. The museums already have almost everything in their depots. There is so much history here in the fields around the city where I live… 😎👍🍀

Yes, I can, but I never do that. But if you want to, you can use baking soda with a little bit water. Just rub the coin with the wet baking soda between your fingers… And check the result. 👍

@Medieval_Digger After cleansing some coins in lemon juice, one of the coins must have had paint on them or something, and they all came out pink?? Has this happened to you?

Yes, I have had that a couple of times. But I could always get rid of it with some cotton swabs and lemon juice. That’s probably copper that is in the silver coin.
