The one piece argument is not good anymore anyway. One piece has addressed to fix the pacing issues which proves there's an inherent flaw with the way that the pacing was back then I'll say this the manga didn't have the same issue ; and if someone who wants to say that DBZ has the same problem DBZ already had a remake of their anime Kai and it's still kind of has the same pacing issues so we'll have to see how the remake for one piece is but if it's anything like they're saying you can knock one piece out of this conversation AOT is just a better anime overall that doesn't mean it has to be your favorite or that you even have to like it

You can’t use impact as an argument because if someone takes inspiration from a show and does it better then that it was it is. DBZ is my favorite anime of all time personally . But objectively aot is better

Using one piece to benefit dbz is not a good argument . Because just like dbz people don’t like shows that take a lot of episodes to get to the point. But one piece is also an older show so they’ve built the fanbase to where their style is normal for the viewers
