Great movie with two of the best American actors. Unnecessarily Hollywood filmed another Papillon with 2 b list actors who are terrible in it. The movie flopped.

While the producer of The Great Escape refused to let McQueen do the iconic motorcycle jump over the barbed wire fence (his racing buddy did it), in this movie he insisted he do this stunt himself. The greatest actor performed stunt of all time.

One of the greatest films ever made. The ending to this film as well as the Shawshank Redemption are two of the most powerful endings ever along with a great story line.

I remember I was flipping channels tired and was ready to go to bed then I came across this movie. It woke me up of a sudden that's how much I was drawn into this movie. This is an outstanding movie at its best...it's a must see👍👍

سلام.درطول عمرم فیلمی به زیبایی فیلم پاپیون ندیدم.فکرکنم ۷ بار ازطریق سینما دیدم.همیشه به خاطر آخرین جمله ای که دریا وخوابیده بر به اصطلاح بلمی که خودش از گونی وبرگ درخت درست کرده باصدای بلند وازاعماق وجودش ادا می‌کرد لذت می‌بردم.براستی فیلم زیبا وتاثیر گذاری بودوسراسر فیلم فقط امید بود وامید .آفرین به کارگردان شهیر وهنرپیشگان نامدار این فیلم ...

This movie is proof that Hoffman typically goes way too far with his method acting. I saw this decades ago in the theater. As a child I could tell it was overacted. Hoffman was more cartoonish than my favorite cartoons.
