Shame it doesn’t have stereo FX send

You say that no one uses minidisc, but I use it everyday and I have been since 1992....

Used MD for the first time in '95 in college. I was absolutely fascinated by the format & still use it today. Today you can create playlists, play only the music you want, in the order you want it, connect your phone to your car stereo / home stereo / random BT speakers / headphones, etc. When I was growing up, you made mix tapes -- they sounded "good" and we all made them.. Then came alone MD.. It's hard to describe how AWESOME it was that -- for the first time -- you could make a digital mix "tape" -- with the ability to erase / move / split / combine tracks.. You could even reuse them, just like cassettes, and it was all digital. This was an amazing invention, and I bought my first deck (with a portable player included) sometime in 98/99. I still have all my discs, but I'm so sad that I only ever bought ONE pressed disc... I still have a deck and a portable, working just fine. I'm sad they didn't take off here like they did in Japan.. They had some of the coolest models! And you're right -- people are taking advantage of the surge in popularity and charging extortionist prices for basic decks and the discs themselves.. Long live MD! :-)

Honesty during the direct and mixer comparison, I did notice quaility loss. Could be a volume thing (which does matter alot, if you a/b somthing, gain compisation is everything) with that said, I noticed a loss in transients and presence. Kinda gave a mushy feel to the overall sound qaulity, but its very subtle. if you listen back at a low volume, you might notice it better.

RTFM/CHECK WEBSITE. The main outs are TRS not unbalanced. The MON/FX send is not stereo. Why wouldn't you check these basic facts before making a lengthy review video?

Hello so 3.16 is the latest jjos for 1000? And does it work with the original screen? I just bought the 1000 and the os doesn't work with the old screen but only with the xl screen. I want to use the old screen

If you get a mini disc deck with keyboard input it makes it much more efficient and enjoyable naming tracks. Then you just get an old computer keyboard with ps/2 connectors and use the short cuts in the manual. You barely touch the actual deck except to insert the disc or take it out. It makes a world of difference.

Can you send me the link of where you bought the screen and are they in the US?

I am watching because I have three Samson SM10's. One of them the red lights won't turn off. They are full red when mute is engaged but a dim red when mute isn't used. Not a big deal. The other mixer is fried. It is showing all red LED's even though absolutely nothing is plugged in. Full story is I came back to the studo after being away for 8 hours. I heard a loud hum. Very loud. I disconnected everything from the mixer and it's still showing all red. I powed off, unplugged. A day later stilled fried. I think I'll try the Behringer. Also, the line out wouldn't daisy chain the mixers in stereo so I ended up using a channel. No biggie, but daisy chaining as listed in the manual didn't work for me.

The RX line mixer was the only Behringer Product I got rid of in my lab in favor of a Peavey PV 14 to input all my synths plus the 8 inserts patched into a Behringer patchbay.

Nice video...I have 3 of these to do...2 x jv2080 and 1 x jd990...One thing puzzles me...You removed the front panel then the glass front screen protector...but when you put the front panel back on...you put the screen protector on last..looks ok but...hmmm

Really Nice Review about this product. I have one question: How does "To Phones" button route the signals to phone jack? Will it be mixed with Main Out or just FX Send independently? I do some DJing so I need a function that seperate output between headphone CUE and main speaker. I must make sure the mixer in my need does the second way.

Great vid! I have a Neve summing mixer with 2 stereo outs (which on each one you can apply a different coloration) so I want to route those two balanced outs to one stereo pair L/R on my interface. Would this work with this unit? Or, any other suggestion? Im trying to figure it out...Thanks!

You wasn't installing JJOS3 with 3.16 that's the really old free version of JJOS2XL

hi, the description is confusing about FX, there isn't the return stereo channel of the fx itself ! any hint to use an external fx ?

You'd think they would include stereo send with v2. But no.. What an idiotic decision
