Always liked Warne, genuinely nice man (maybe too nice) and ultra honest (probably too honest). He was the physiotherapist at Rotherham and was surprisingly given the RU job on trial. Used to enjoy listening to his interviews on Radio Sheffield because he spoke like a human being coming out with unusual stuff and even the odd joke showing his sense of hour instead of coming out with the boring generic manager speak.

he used to go for a drink at my local at the time the menal arms..with his driver waiting to take him home. i knew brian..he was def a show man..who demanded 100%..I spoke to him now and again..he was never the same without taylor ..I was there when they both were made derbys managers..came onto the pitch ..walked to the middle of the pitch turned and waved to everyone for a few min and walked of..derby had just bought kevin hector from bradford for £40.000 he kept hold of webster and hector and replaced everyone else ..changed derbys strip later into england colours so they would not look out of place when they played for england. we nearly got relegated as the team did not work together at 1st ..then he had a brain wave and got tottenham legend dave mackay who organized them into a world beating team..( DAVE MACKEY was the missing piece ) ..then derby did not want brian to give interviews or work with the tv channels ..brian and taylor went to forest..mackey stoped a player revolt by taking over as manager..but it was never the same again..( brian attitude was basicly win or dont come back ) footballs version of the american general PATTON .lol
