I have both Shield Pluses in 9mm and 30sc and it's obvious when you shoot them back to back that the 30sc has less recoil. Get the 30sc Shield Plus which has 13 and 16rd magazines. Grabagun still sells them for 299 and you can use the 9mm Magguts +3 extensions on the 13rd magazine and increase it to 17rds. The +2 magguts extension on the 16rd magazine increases the capacity to 19rds. If you load it with 30sc Federal HST rounds, they do exactly the same in ballistics testing as 9mm HST, and HST 9mm is a round that many cops and Feds carry as duty rounds.

.45 gains another 150fps in the 15” barrels length. That is substantial. .45 gained an additional 100fps between 11” and 18” barrels. 100fps is a substantial gain for the heavy slow moving round and 150fps is a bigger jump. If you reload your own, you can see better results, since you control the amount and type of powder. 10mm benefits much more from longer barrels. I’ve seen 400fps on a regular at 16”, and the 10mm hits as hard as a .45 I you want a CQB gun, 9” to 15” barrels are best for both .45 and 10mm. You get an increase in velocity, accuracy, and follow up shots.

I've been looking at getting a 10 MM. Im leaning more towards the Springfield>The reason is mags .Compare the price of them..... I like the extended mag of the FN but the cost and of there 15 rounders. I believe in having extra and that would bring this weapon system to alot more .........Glock has many options for sure.But I'm leaning more towards the Springfield.......Take a look before you leap you might be surprised.
