Andre Preview also conducted Eric Morecombe in a marvellous interpretation of the Grieg Piano Concerto

Elegance, heart, soft hands, depth of tone... ..ahhhh yes, must be Arthur Rubenstein and Chopin. What beauty!

Wonderful recording. Such a beautiful performance. But in reality these pieces are super hard to play in this beautiful way 😅

I heard Rostropovich play this concerto when I was in Barcelona in 1970! I remember all the students who attended that concert standing up wildly applauding him! A memorable event in my life!

I've lost count the number of times I've heard this. It's really one of the greatest concerti of the 20th century. I always keep coming back to this fantastic performance by Milstein. It's ironic that this performance is so great while Milstein himself said he wasn't particularly fond of the music. He liked the second movement more than the first and third. No matter. This is the recording to have.

Arthur Rubinsein will always be an inspiration of pure genius.
I like to start my day with Bach's morning energy, characterized by its structure and clarity, and end it with Chopin's romanticism, full of emotion and expressiveness.

Astonishing mastery of Rubinstein. Every bit of Grieg writing shines like paenthelic marble and also with a great amount of sensitivity.
