That's a great comparison. Boya seems to capture more sounds from the environment especially when there were the planes on your background. When your son went around the camera talking about Roblox n Fortnite, it seems like the Boya takes even the sound when you go behind it whereas the Rode records less of the sound when you are at the back of it and focus on the sound in front of it. I just made my order of the Rode mic after your review. Thanks a lot!!

I think right at the beginning you already sounded biased against iFootage...yes even before you notified us that it is not truly Arcaswiss compatible. Looks more like a video purposely done to present your negative view right from the start with all your fumbling around making things look difficult to adjust than it really is. Not well done video regardless of what you try to portray...even if iFootage Cobra 3 is really that bad

What you are doing wrong, note the list is considerable. 1) You did not read the Manual. 2) You did not read the instructions inside the bag about how to extend the bag so that the ball head will fit. 3) It's not a Tripod, it's a Monopod. The tilting base is there to provide a good plant while allowing the the Monopod to provide support for the lens/camera combination while following a moving subject. 4) There is the fit with that non Arca Swiss plate you have mounted on your camera. It's a proprietary plate so you are basically trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. BTW Manfrotto is Notorious for there "Quick Release" plates not being fully compatible with the Arca Swiss standards. Frankly with your refusal to actually read the provided materials I have to question if you can actually READ. BTW, I gave this video a Thumbs Down.

Forget all those specs...that flip up/flip out LCD is awesome. I'd love to see that design be standard across all manufacturers. In a day in age when even the lowest settings are usually perfectly fine for most situations, it's usability and form factor that make all the difference. Choose the camera that allows you to work fast and comfortably.

It’s so weird when people say they were disappointed moving from the GH5 to the GH6. What the hell did you expect?! As a broadcast doc filmmaker the GH6 answered almost every single thing I wanted updated from the GH5. It’s been a massive upgrade in usability to my workflow.

I needed something that had reliable focus. For auto focus purposes. I also wanted internal pro res hq or lt which could not be done. In fact, that’s the only reason I bought it. Because I thought it could. The new camera can do that internally. If you want to buy another body for yourself, I’m selling my GH6 Basically brand new in the box.

The GH5 was a real monster with IBIS. To bad the GH6 just continued with bad AF. Everybody is doing mirrorless now. And RAW. Next week we might even find Nikon doing Redcode RAW in a hybrid camera...

You didn't have to review this product; you are just trying to destroy somebody's business. I own and use the monitor (in sunny Nigerian weather), and it's never given me a problem. Talking about screen brightness, 500nits is good enough-and consumes little battery power, as opposed to something like 1000nits, 1600nits, 2200nits. All monitors-like just about all products in the world-aren't built equal, and the FeelWorld F6 Plus [V2] is the best in its category.

You know after seeing the video I almost backed off and not purchased this exact same monopod, so back to the researching I went and discovered I few things along the way. And the commentors are right but I will not be so rude to comment as this is your channel and intitled to your opinion. Without purchasing it I got myself a hold of a pdf owner's manual and read though the thing and then pulled the trigger & ordered it. This monopod is awesome, IF used like it is intended to be used. It's a monopod and not intended to be used as tripod. This thing is meant for quick mobility with descent stability with you still holding on to your rig and in my case for the excellent fluid motion provided by the Komodo K5s for video work. After you kick in the foot lever there is a friction knob that has to be adjusted properly on the bottom and you should preadjust it with the camera and lens installed on the monopod so it will pivot smoothly, and it is definitely not designed to stand a big wildlife rig. Maybe I will trust it to stand on a windless day a camera body and a small lens in the upright position, temporarily but that is it. As far your situation, in my opinion I wouldn't have purchased that Komodo Ball Head and just used your own avoiding incompatibility issues. It will be interesting to see if the K5s will work with my Arca Swiss and btw I also own the same plates you showed in your video since I use them to clip on my smaller camera gear on to my backpack. I will figure out that issue if it arises.

Tip to solve your arca Swiss problem.... Pick yourself up a pair of ifootage 'seastars' then you can use ANY head and swap between multiple tripods / monopods including heads, a game changer. I've just backed the Cobra STRIKE 3 (new model) and I share similar concerns about not being able to lock at ANY angle at a tight or tensioned operation. I've sent a few ideas their way on how to solve this issue that doesn't seem to be solved yet other than tightening at bottom wheel. I do or will no doubt 'feel' your pain once my Strike 3 arrives. I've owned that Manfrotto monopod for God knows how many years (maybe 20?) and never unscrewed the bottom to know what was inside! Wow am I an idiot

You obviously did not do your homework on this monopod. This is me, but I’m sure others, but I do not like when a person does a review on a product and does not try it totally out first do you know how everything works. Here we are subject to you trying items out and have to wait till you figure out how items work on this device. When in doubt call the company and ask about your specific question on that arca Swiss plate and maybe they can tell you how to solve the problem if it’s possible at all. Good luck with your new and old monopod. It hand maybe their plate is normal but the one you have with the grip is the odd ball out. Just maybe. IMHO

I watched this video because I plan to buy this monopod based on various reviews I've seen, so I was interested in seeing the opinion of someone who apparently wasn't impressed. While I appreciate your honesty, I have to say, I really don't understand people wanting to put their camera on a monopod and then have it function hands-free; that's what a tripod is for. The way I see it a monopod is a tool to give you extra stability where you'd otherwise have hand held, and the feet serve to improve on that stability. I can't imagine any situation where I'd want to lock the monopod at an angle, I'd find it incredibly frustrating if it did that. It's doing its job giving that freedom to angle slightly into a shot or dolly, then lock it back upright. So even though I'd have to agree to disagree with your conclusion, I like that you stated clear reasons why it's not the right tool for YOU, and in the end this video has made me settle even more, in my mind, that this will be a great monopod for the work I do. Great review...
