Know off hand what length the longest part of the beard was on this client?

I use Facetune mainly. I’m not 100% sure it’s on Android but it should be

Hi if he is growing a mullet ? Why did u cut some inch for the back of the hair?
@nomo4u8862 ай бұрын
Maybe it’s just a shorter variation of a mullet it’s a modern mullet.
@kylethebarberАй бұрын
Exactly this. It’s a modern mullet. We aren’t trying to have it get super long in the back

very good tutorial, H ow are you not famous?
@misterlove70342 ай бұрын
Pardon my ignorance, but why do you use the 1/2 guard to set the 1 inch band? Can’t you just use the machine in an open position? What’s the reason you do that?
@kylethebarberАй бұрын
So I use the half guard closed because it creates a softer line. When you use machine open it creates a much harder line to blend out. There’s no perfect way to do it though you can definitely use just open blade no guard
@nomo4u8862 ай бұрын
I’m trying to achieve this same hairstyle. I recently buzzed my hair to a number #2 all even but if I want to grow out my hair for a modern mullet do I just simply let my hair grow out and get a skin taper on the sides from time to time??
@kylethebarber2 ай бұрын
Yes the best thing to do is start growing it out and just get tapers for the time being !
@nomo4u8862 ай бұрын
@@kylethebarberthanks man and another question when I do finally get this length. How often would I need to trim the top & back to maintain this look in the video??
@ObiSain2 ай бұрын
Great cut! What number would you say the length is on top?
@kylethebarber2 ай бұрын
Tough to say since I used scissors. Potentially like an 8 but I use scissors because it allows me to leave some areas like the front longer and by the crown shorter.
@ObiSain2 ай бұрын
@@kylethebarber makes sense gonna try this myself one day
@BiglariProductions2 ай бұрын
You should reccomend him to keep the parted area longer rather than hitting it with a #1.5
@kylethebarber2 ай бұрын
Totally agree. But in the end we do what the client wants lol
@BiglariProductions2 ай бұрын
Why not start first with Saber instead of slimline then saber???? Doesnt make sense!! And seems like waste of time Amazing cut tho
@kylethebarber2 ай бұрын
Could go either way. I start slimline first to make sure the guide isn’t too harsh and difficult to fade out. Then the saber I just under the slimline. But 100% you’re right you could go either one first

strange to start with a half guard at first but ig trust the process! it turned out great
@kylethebarber2 ай бұрын
Reason behind starting with a half guard is because it creates a softer guide line. Easier to erase

Great haircut and video! I’ve always struggled to keep a fade low, especially if the hair is thin and straight. I think I get too clipper over comb happy. 😅 I’ll have to try out using my thinning shears for this, I don’t know why I’ve never thought of it!

Yes for sure this is the best fade for a Modern Mullet. Or if the hair is shorter in the back and you’re growing it out go for a burst fade. I’ll be getting back to making KZbin videos and that’s the first tutorial I’m putting out!!
