Stay was great. Facilities and room were a great value for the price. The buffet food was ok, pretty average, but the sweets were exceptional. Loved the crepe station at breakfast.

I actually took the shared ride shuttle that was included with the Expedia rate for the RIU, but wish we had opted for a private one. There's a RIU Ocho Rios FB group that has lots of good recommendations for private drivers.

Is BTs Resort still there? It was across the road. We always stayed there. He had little huts. We enjoyed staying there. But that was 20 years ago.

There's a swim-up bar in the pool, and another poolside bar. I spent all my time at the beach rather than the pool, and a server would come by regularly on the beach with drinks. I'm not sure about the pool.

Honestly pretty mediocre. The buffet was good at breakfast, and just ok for the other meals. And none of the a la carte food was that great (the Mexican restaurant was quite decent). Expect average food, a great beach and really good views from the room.

Went June 27th was supposed to come home July 4th had to come home two days early the 2cd, went with another family of four, the eight of us all were feeling ill at different points of the trip most likely from the staff handling food with there bare hands, I was put on antibiotics. the only dinner all eight did eat was from the Barbacue place that we went to the first night after that evrynight no one ate their meals, the Buffets is were we could see staff handling foods with there bare hands, our friend asked if our coffee was chunky and as I swished around to the bottom and sure enough it was, not sure if they keep the milk on warming trays like the coffee. We had to move our room around the ceiling was mold and the ceiling was coming apart.The geen pool had mold along the walls all over, the grounds and the beach was nice but that was it, I recieved a note under our door the day before we left and they only want to talk about the origianl room conditions not about anything else, it was a terrible experience Would 110% not recommend. Any questions please ask hate to see you waste your hard eraned money here

I stayed at Sandy haven which is right next door to sun beach cafe. You didn’t mention it. Right before the positive vibration glass bottom boat. At the 8:47 mark

My dad taught me a fool proof way to know if there are sharks nearby. He'd tell me to taste the water. Is it salty? If yes, there are sharks nearby. (and I love them)

I think the RIU Palace is at the Bloody Bay end of the beach, so it's a good long walk to the center of Negril beach

I stayed at Country Country. The Negril Treehouse, Coco Lapalm, Charela and Rondel Village are other nice resorts on that same part of the beach. And yes there are lots of beach restaurants with seafood within a few minutes walk.

I dove off the cliff at Ricks cafe middle platform after drinking some "liquid courage" rum punch. One of my top 10 favorite life moments. I can't wait to return there someday.

Yea mon! Love negril!! Been goin for the last 20 yrs! 7 mile beach is the best! I’ve stayed a co co Kaplan and white sands on the beach! Cliff side is nice to! Xtabi and rock house are excellent places to stay!! Not as much haggling from venders on the cliffs!!
