Any flat ice has is a punch flat or split in the tube or valve stem. After going through so many tubes I’ve switched exclusively to heavy duty. I don’t it the added heat argument at all. I don’t think heavy would be required on road I would never expect a tube or tire to resist a puncture

When I add myself to any bike, that's the most carbs they will ever have, and it's way too many. 160kg (353lb) 😂 Damn, I feel my weight crushes every bike like crazy, and it's not a good feeling, even when I have my regular weight (140kg/308lb) it's still way too much. On that note, which shocks/springs (spring rate) front and back would you recommend for me?

A great mantra that Neil, and a good safe riding video too. It seems we need more safe riding tips and not just for the newbies, locally two bikers, aged 57 and 54 both died last week, after a head on collision on Sheffield moor. I have noticed another worrying trend amongst a certain group of bikers and that's the "I'm on my bike I've got to pass!" I have been shocked at some of the riders out in North Yorkshire a couple of weeks ago, especially on the road to Hawes. I found a quote next day by an ex-police motorcyclist claiming it is part of North Yorkshires mini TT course. Ride safe and happy.

THANKS matey, I actually think the motorists in the UK do this FAR better than they do here in South Australia, the lack of traffic compared allows a lackadaisical attitude and it really shows, as we get more road users (more recently we are) there's a lot of problems coming to light, and collisions! You should see people trying to enter freeways which I'll cover in part 2. People coming to a complete halt on entry slip roads is entertaining if nothing else 😄

Certainly in South Australia as far as motorcycling is concerned, there is a huge gap in what is taught in regards how to use and deal with merging traffic, especially at slip roads. The basic training given doesn't teach common courtesy in these situations, maybe car driving schools and lessons are different but if a rider has never driven, and gone straight to two wheels, how do they know what to do? Of course there are also vehicle driver's who are either ignorant or actually just arrogant and refuse to do the right thing. Here I show two examples of the correct way to deal with merging traffic at a slip road and also introduce my new hashtag #adjustpacecreatespace which will be thrown in to my social media when I'm doing my defensive riding tips and examples. Thanks for reading this and watching the video, please comment, subscribe and give this a thumbs up. #riderguider #theridertguider #merging #defensiveriding #motorbiking #thinkbike #ridesafe

Waterproof would not be the scientifically correct term to use for anything like drystar or Gore-Tex and the like. They are not really waterproof per say. In the same way that reverse osmosis will push water backwards through a membrane similar to that, you can put enough pressure on them to reverse process water molecules if the pressure is high enough. However, I don't think you are getting 80 psi in your boots and if if you did, you would have far bigger issues than whether or not they are waterproof. The most likely place to get rain into any of these type of boots is up the boot and over the top. The pressure from the wind pushes the water up the boot until it reaches the top under your pant leg. To stop that you need a lip just beneath the bottom of you pant leg, out of the rain and attached all the way around the boot, so that when the water comes up, it has to drop back down. This would be a design oddity for motorcycle boots and most likely people would not buy a boot that looked like that. Of course if the suit is tight fitting enough around the outside of the bottom of the boot, you can for sure minimize how much water does this to a few drops at most, depending on how fast you are going and how much rain is coming down (and up off the road). Anyone using these with a decent fairing and floorboards (me lol) would likely never have this issue)

Yep, I like this little bike but w/ any lower powered bike, I think it wise to ride defensively & even when you can go the speed limit you probably should allow other vehicles to pass you by..... whenever possible. I find that a wise way to ride but I still see these guys going the speed limit but they won't let others who want to go faster, go on by them. I think they ought to let em' go on so their ride will be safer but some just don't get it? I do like this bike & I hope you & the wide enjoyed it. peace

If you want the highest level of protection, you need double D fasteners, non flip up and no drop down visor. Anything else is a compromise. I pay about £100 per year for an Arai adventure helmet, it’s not that expensive.
@TheRiderGuider3 ай бұрын
@@bryansuperduke1290r absolutely agree, especially on the DD (as mentioned in the vid) … I just think, we’re now able to do SO much with technology in other fields, there has to be a innovative way to at least include an extra built in tinted visor without compromising it, swapping out a whole (Arai) visor isn’t hard but carrying one for changing conditions is for sure. Appreciate the comment 👍🏼🙂
