The arm massage trick is an awesome tip! I used it with students in almost every one of the piano lessons I taught this week and couldn’t believe what fast results students had! It helped with good position of fingers and strength in knuckles immediately! I cant wait to see progress after a few weeks!!!

Hey, I'm new to the classical piano, just a few weeks ago I bought a bunch of sheet music and exercises, hanon, czerny, gurlitt, köhler, burgmuller, bertini. I'm doing great progress just in weeks. BUT maybe my hands wasnt ready for all these exercises and workout, playing Hanon got me pain in the hand, so I stopped. What did I do wrong? And how to carry on from here?

I have a terrible struggle with my fourth fingers. When I try to play something simple like a 4 octave C Major scale, I struggle keeping my fingers in sync across the hands. The notes come apart because my left hand and right hand aren't hitting the keys at precisely the same time. This is very frustrating. I will try this exercise to see if it helps.

In Dubai they tend to have the American approach, however you always find those who are great and serious talents and if parents cooperate you don´t feel like a useless babysitter but as a real art teacher, which is very stimulating. In my case, most of these cases are Asian students, though.

Hi a blessed day for you i have a problem with which finger to use when i get a piece to play for example a classical piece
@DrYukingPianoChannel2 ай бұрын
It’s always important to figure out the fingering first when learning a new piece. The better the fingering is, the faster and easier you will learn that new piece. Have fun with the new pieces on the piano!👍

@alexisgs88005 ай бұрын
The problems I have is that my hands are not equivalent is strength and dexterity. My right is faster and more precise than my left so I can never synchronise them to play scales at the same time because one accelerates more and the other gets confused. Also my forearms hurt quickly when I play songs that are intense rythmically.

@@DrYukingPianoChannel I hope so. Am relearning piano, am retired and have hardly played since grade school. What's most difficult is tempo. Stopping to check where I am. More often than not, the more difficult parts of the piece, but not always. I think, at least partially, something in my head.

I really enjoyed your video today and I ask one question in another comment earlier today about this correct spelling on Mr. Karl Czeny. Please get back to me at your earliest convenience on the correct spelling of his name so I can buy one of his books on fingering. I wish you continued success with all of your future music videos and endeavors and I also wish you continued success financially as well. Have a wonderful day and weekend.

Hi. What is the correct spelling of the composer you were talking about in this video today? I would like to buy one of his beginner books. Is this one of the books you were talking about today? Karl Czerny - The Art Of Finger Dexterity. Or do you spell his name another way like this : Karl Chretien. This is the spelling I got from your video. Please correct me on this at your earliest convenience.

Dr. Yuking, I'm cured! I struggled with the octaves in Mozart's Turkish march for months now, i even gave up for a while and only played the upper notes. Others videos I found on how to play octaves were not working for my small hands. The fist strech exercise was perfect for my hands, i felt a huge improvement and it was exactly the extra reach I needed to play well and not hit middle keys in the octave❤ You are a brillient teacher, thank you🎹🎶

Thank you so much for this really informative video. Comes at a time when I am sort of at cross roads in my piano learning journey, i.e. should I quit or stick to my guns! Main reason is my fingers still fail to co-ordinate or play independently. Long story short, now I am going to try your method for improvement. Thank you once more

I've been struggling with clarity since I started learning the piano. Thank you for addressing this issue, also it pays to play slowly and deliberately wthout hurrying through the piece. I find I am often impatient to play slowly and end up slurring the play by repeatedly playing fast.

I think I got lucky that I picked up Beethoven's tempest 3rd movement to study, as the first part exercises individual fingers very well. After starting learning this piece, I found the other pieces went much better.
