Maybe Estonia got more points than France and Spain because her vocals were much better. And yes, Spain had a horrible song sung by a mediocre singer (and using too many backing vocals), France was ruined by her staging, where she's focused more on keeping her balance than on singing and it looked too static. And she still had more televotes than Estonia. So, half as bad, right? And there were just so many better songs than Estonia, Australia, France or Spain. (and Estonia is probably my favorite out of these 4). Finland is a better winner than Sweden because it won the televote and is less pop. It's also got elements of rap, rock, and electronica. If you wanna win the televote, you also have to appeal to people who're into something other than pop, as well as to people who have higher standards and aren't that easily impressed. But the elephant in the room is that she would have gotten more votes from the public, hadn't she performed after Spain, because many people just tuned out, switched channels or took a toilet break, when they were supposed to hear that crap, and didn't come back early enough to see Loreen's whole performance. Some of them might have missed it in it's entirety. Overall, I think they should either reform the juries or get rid of them altogether. They kinda abolished the whole vote, not just because of Sweden vs. Finland, they really robbed Norway and Ukraine, and Germany shouldn't have been last either. How come Croatia is 2nd to last with them? Even behind the UK? Despite them finishing 7th with the televote? And how come no 8th, 9th, and 10th with the televote were so super robbed that they ended up behind the last place with the public? Those jurors got a questionable expertise and kinda outruled the will of the people, put crappy and generic songs over interesting ones with a message that aren't straight up pop. And yes, Portugal was actually not that bad, but maybe this was her spot in the running order. Otherwise the televote results are the real deal.

Ik denk dat Joost in de finale niet precies hetzelfde als halve finale wilde doen maar met iets extra's. En dat de EBU dat wilde controleren maar dat zij het als verrassing wilden. Zoiets?

Dus als ze zeggen er komt iets zo groot als een maanlanding: aangezien hun grootspraak tot nu toe echt uitgevoerd is blijven we nu eeuwig met de vraag: wat hadden ze eigenlijk voor ons in petto? Ik denk een absurd conceptueel kunstwerk van Stephano Keizers dat op het eerste gezicht profaan is maar als je goed kijkt toch van ok dan.

@@jayparm I agree. I also think Russia should have be included with Eurovision. The only way to stop war is to be open for each other and unite. Excluding people because they are from a nation that is in war, where those people didn't even choose for, does nothing for peace. In the worst case it makes people feel more hated and makes the situation worse for everyone. Like Joost says: 'In the end of the day, we're all human beings. My father told me once, it's a world without borders.'
