Yes. It’s true that it uses batteries BUT you are not getting just …TENS ….you also get EMS+NMES plus other gadgets. I prefer to pay $1.60 for 3 batteries at Costco than going for physio therapy and paying $140 for one hour. If you don’t want the extra features then buy the cheaper one with rechargeable battery but you miss on a lot of other features

you may want to give it a clean before you use it by taking a stiff brush dipped in soapy water to clean the baseplate. Make sure you spray the pads with water very well. The body pads (gel pads) may need to be replaced after 6-8 years of not using them, but you can try to spray them with water to see how well they adhere to your body.

we do suggest not placing pads directly over any metal parts in your body, however many people are able to use it elsewhere. Our best recommendation is to go low and slow as you are turning up the system.
