I've heard this hymn countless times since I can remember. The older I get the more I love these hymns. Thank you Lord for loving this undeserving sinner.

Absolutely hilarious! Remember this catchy "update theme" from the '90s flipping through the radio landing on WLS in Chicago with Rush's midday show. He was great entertainment I'll say.

Such a wonderful hymn, reminding us that God indeed is so very wonderful, praise his holy name! Sung with such a Spirit filled conviction. Would be hard for someone to hear this and not be convicted of sin. God is so wonderful!

I sit here on the fishing jetty Town Beach in Broome Australia. There are now about five people and myself. I am listening to Jimmy Swaggart singing it's over now. I am here to be at peace looking up into a black sky littered with stars sparkling like diamonds. I came to think about the coming of Lord Jesus birth for mankind. Tonight is the eve of His birthday. Tomorrow the Earth's Saviour will be here and the glory of God will be seen. God's glory of Salvation begins. The Broome township is in full glory of coloured lights. But I wonder how many people are thinking as of what I am thinking? The sea waves are splashing against the rocks as the tide rises. I know I won't see the bright star in the east as happened with the arrival of Lord Jesus. But just sitting here, absorbing the timeline is most comforting. I think of the song, it's over now, knowing tomorrow with the arrival of Lord Jesus, it is now over. It's time to go home. Have a happy Lord Jesus birthday. God bless

I remember hearing Bill tell about how this song came about in a concert we went to. He had a big disagreement with some fellow and decided to mow the lawn to let off some steam. While mowing he was planning in his mind what he was going to do to get even. He said that the Lord said to him, "Bill, you are not going to do anything to this man. You are going to go and make things right between you and him." He also reminded him how much he was loved and had been forgiven. So the Lord kind of dropped this song in his lap and made it personal. This made a real impression on me that we can never out love or for that matter out give the Lord either. That doesn't mean we should stop trying. That is how to win the world. Never stop loving and giving. I have found that this is the way to blessings we could only dream of. The Lead here is being sung by Bill. He is singing along with Danny and Gloria. A great sound.

2Tim 1:12-14 12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am <persuaded that he is able to keep> that which I have committed unto him against that day. 13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 14 That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.

I was an office manager in a church back in the late 90s. I would have Rush on while we were folding bulletins and balancing books. We would be laughing our heads off at Rush's parodiy, especially during the Monica Lewinsky days. When the pastor came in I would change that station so quickly it wasn't funny. He would wonder what we were laughing at.
