I "cut my teeth" emulating Free, Uncle Ted, Joe Walsh, Johnny Winter, Jimi Hendrix, Mark Farner, Status Quo, and ESPECIALLY Mick Ralphs - and then I went on to produce more #1 songs than I can count! Mr Rogers was a Rock Icon; I was fortunate enough to work at a vinyl record store - and had a roommate who was a tour manager for "British Invasion" bands, so I was privy to every album he played on. "Icon" is an understatement; Mr Rogers was up there with Clapton, Beck, Walsh, Ronson, Wylde, Chet Atkins, Brad Paisley, Jerry Reed, Brent Mason, et al! Mick Ralphs transformed the musical landscape forever in more ways than David Bowie did... Everything he touched was SOLID GOLD! Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Guitar World Top 10 FOR CERTAIN!!

Mick still has that sound. Maybe it's my imagination but I hear Mott The Hoople and even more an echo of Bad Company. All good guitarists have that signature in their sound and fretting that is like a DNA fingerprint. Loved in MTH, BC & now here in the Mick Ralph's Blues Band.
