I agree with everything he said about marske other than the bus service i drove for arriva in that area and the buses are always late and breaking down they operate out of redcar and its like a scrapyard down there due to no fault of the drivers they often run late either break down or they can't keep time because they are so slow.🐢

Lived at 5 High Street from the early sixties with brothers Dan & Andy, I see the old railway properties have been knocked down now, they were typical 2 up 2 down, tin bath in front of open fire, luxury. Moved to School Close when my Dad lost his job at Saltburn signal box, I left Marske in Feb 76 to join the Royal Marines. Still yearn to move back someday and frequent the local pubs, Frigate, Middle House, Ship, the IPA at the Ship was an excellent pint, not to mention the cricket club and the workies club, happy days indeed.

I lived in New Marske from 1956 to 1981 which is just over a mile away, but I went to school in Marske. I spent a lot of my childhood there, especially the fabulous beach. Just like New Marske it is a great place to live, lots of good memories!

Fudge Finger yep, I didn’t expect this at all. He was due in court last Thursday I think for sentencing ,obviously didn’t turn up and then they found him dead. Makes you wonder what other secrets he was hiding . I remember him saying he worked on film sets recently and of course who wouldn’t trust a famous DJ ? All speculation . However he DID admit three charges of having or making indecent pictures of children .Sickening.To think I used to ring his show and chat to him in the early 90s now makes me cringe.If it wasn’t for sickos like him then kids wouldn’t be getting abused.They often use the excuse that it is ‘only a picture’ but a child has to be abused for that picture ! Sick bastards. When I think of the times he spoke about the subject of child abuse on his talk in show while all the while he was at it , it makes me sick. You don’t become a paedophile overnight .He has obviously been that way always. It is his family I feel sorry for .I believe he was married.Not sure of he had kids.
