The reason these cars are cheap is due to the high cost maintaining the car, for instance, why do you have to change spark plugs every year or every other year? Or every 4 years you must change the cooling system or thermostat or all the belts every few years

As a 1/32 slot car racer, I wish this was open to the public, but with the price of this, it probably sits and no one runs on it.

There were about 1200 GT2s made for the US & Canada, so there is likely an equal number for the rest of the world. All Weissach package cars have the center stripe in body color. The car you are showing does not have the magnesium wheels. About 60% of the cars were ordered with magnesium wheels.

Pretty sure the brake servo Rolls used was the Clayton Dewandre used by other large cars in the 1920:s such as Humber so it would have been a case Hispano and Rolls buying from the same source rather than a Hispano part. Clayton were an English company.
@stephaneaderca79483 ай бұрын
Definitely not. Rolls-Royce licensed the Hispano-Suiza servo-brake system after Claude Johnson, the hyphen in Rolls-Royce, secretly fitted the Hispano mechanical servo-brake. Henry Royce agreed that his ageing Silver Ghost could no longer do without 4 wheel brakes. RR used the Hispano system until 1978, on the Phantom VI. Hispano-Suiza definitely did not use the Clayton Dewandre System (it was a feature on the WO Bentleys), and neither did Rolls-Royce.

I own one very similar to your video car,,,,same colour and manual albeit mine is right hand drive,,,,I agree with your comments of the vehicle if I had one criticism it would have to be the clutch in these cars are only single plate and usually worn out at 40,000 miles. Up grade to the double plate clutch and then notice the difference,,,,wow amazing

As an older man I find the 458 sound to harsh, it doesn't have as nice a tone as a 430 Ferrari or a Porsche GT3. As for the 488 Ferrari I actually like the tone of the engine note, even though it's muted a bit, which would make the 488 a less tiring car sound wise to drive long distances. Anyway just my opinion at the end of the day. PS. Love any V12 Ferrari sound the best.

Great video. Can’t believe they go for such little money. As an aside. As a Brit… the owner doesn’t know how to roll an umbrella away 😂😂😂 such an untidy roll 😂😂😂

Thanks very much for this. I agree with everything you said. It is funny that because they are so exclusive, unless you are a petrolhead, people don’t know much about them so they have no idea what model it is.

I have the exact same car in silver, these will take off in price without warning, remember the Ferrari 348? The cheapest of all Ferrari’s, now they have rocketed, this is the most beautiful Aston ever built in my opinion! Looks so modern, sounds awesome, and turns heads like no other car, and if the badge is good enough for Bond!

Thanks for showing us your car. Is the RS200 shown here an Evo? All RS200 had the red gear knob for switching between RWD and diff locks. And the original RS200 had a 1.8L Turbo engine, including the competition ones. Power was max 420BHP for the competition RS200. Ford decided on an Evo variation with a 2.1L Turbo engine for more power and converted 20 of these cars to 2.1 Evo. These should have been ready for competition in 1987. Of course by then the groupB was banned and the 2.1 Evo was never used by Ford itself. The Evo therefore is an extremely rare car.

I had dinner with Fisker just before the car war debuted. He was kind enough to later send me a cl=mplte press package with the hardcover book and all the photos as well as the brochure.I had noticed the clean shut lines. One of the things I thought and still think is impressive about the car's clean lines is the choice of where the hood's shut lines are. They are on the upper surface of the hood after the sharp curve that bumpers the hood up in the middle. You'd think they would normally have been on either edge of that bump up, but Fisker chose to have them about an inch in to the upper flat surface. If you try moving the hood opening to either the top edge of the crease defining bump up or the bottom crease it looks wrong.

The side strands are made from that nasty alloy they used to make those old potato guns we had as kids. The biggest disappointment is the poor spray job. They suffer from corrosion.

Very good observations. Other notes: the chrome is mirror polished and the paint is next level when compared to say a Jaguar or more conventional luxury car. Edit, you have the umbrella!! Im jealous. That was a factory option.

Yes, Hispano-Suiza was born in Spain. But the H6B, and the grandest Hispano-Suizas (H6B, H6B, K6, J12) were produced in France. There was an H6B & H6C equivalent built in the Barcelona factory, the T41 and T56. I believe they used a cast iron cylinder block, rather than the technologically advanced - but troublesome - iron cylinder liners into an aluminium block.
