Appreciate you doing this review! How do these Cleveland Launcher XL irons compare to the 2022/2023 Adams irons and Wilson D9 irons? Out of these 3 choices, which one would you recommend?
@planetgolfreview18 күн бұрын
As my last reply to you about the Adams irons, all these clubs will have their merits, The Cleveland Launcher Irons are aimed at the higher handicapped golfer and have lots of forgiveness designed into the technology they use. But like I said the main component is getting the right shaft for your golf swing. But if you are looking for a game improvement iron they the Cleveland Launcher series are all designed to give maximum forgiveness, while still looking good

Hi James, thanks very much for this review. Have you tried the new Adams Idea irons that came out in 2022/2023? If yes, is that new model significantly better than the Adams Super S irons that you reviewed here? I'm trying to decide which model I should buy.....both sets I'm considering are brand new, but the Super S is about 50% cheaper right now. Would appreciate your opinion. Thank you!
@planetgolfreview18 күн бұрын
Hey, glad you liked the review, but unfortunately I am unable to help you with that specific question as I haven't tested the 22/23 version. What I would say is that technology moves on, a rule of thumb is that you will notice technological advances after 5-years. For instance, the TaylorMade SIM 1 was an advance, but SIM2 and the Stealth drivers you wouldn't really notice any advances. But, you would do so if you went from the SIM 1 to the new Qi10, if that makes sense. So I would suggest there will be improvements, but the main component of any golf club for amateur golfers, is the shaft. The shaft is the most important part of any club, because if you have the wrong shaft for YOUR golf swing you don't unlock all the new technology in the head of any new driver, fairway woods, irons or wedges. So make sure you know what shaft is best for your golf swing and then choose which irons you want from there. Hope that all helps and good luck. James

Yes plenty of room and it will test everyone just make sure you pick the tees that best suit your game. Can't wait to see how the front nine looks once it's open. As for the greens they were good, obviously it has just opened so will need time to bed in and the contours to settle but they can definitely make them very fast if they choose too

These are the only hogans made in the last 20 years I haven’t hit yet. They look very similar to the ptx pro which I game right now, but I know there is a lot more tech in these new tour models. I’ve never played another brand of irons and I’ve been playing for 45years.I’m about to get them sent to me from hogan to demo…can’t wait but they will have to be really good for me to switch from the ptx pro’s.

With all departments of his game on fire Scottie is the man to beat this week especially with his short game around the greens, which is going to be needed this week with those run-offs. Definitely Keegan for each-way, will be interesting to see how Nicolai performs. Soderberg has that in him, it's why I rarely tip him but it was a weak field on home soil so I thought he would do well as he had been playing well.
