I appreciate the podcast. But I don’t appreciate Anthony referring to me as the lowest of comedians. This podcast helps me, someone who is full of self doubt and speaking publicly, just get up on stage. It may have slowed my progression but I can’t stop watching!😂 Thanks for the encouragement to keep at it, even if is solely to make you guys seem funnier.😂

Great advice, guys! I always try to treat each room as if it’s Madison Square Garden even if there are only 10 people there. Easier said than done, of course, but I think it’s good practice to try.

We have to remember that part of the rush of the specials is the contract demands from Netflix. So comics who sign these deals don’t have the time to get it as polished as their first specials.

@@OpenMicPainI did as many open mics as I could after that graduation show. I did it for about a year until I realized I’m the funny guy at a barbecue but not on stage. I still do the occasional open mic or story hour event. But it’s mainly just for fun and to get out there and meet people as opposed to being a viable career path. And everyday I’m thankful to Amy Tee and to my roommate who paid for me to take her class.

Dobie is is great! I love his passion for wanting to help young (in comedy) comedians. Also, I do the same as Jacque. For anyone asking questions about getting started or what to do to achieve their goals, I refer them to this podcast. Wayne, don’t sell yourself short! You (and Anthony) are a mentor. You are just courageous enough to allow people to learn real time through you experiences and mistakes. I believe the growth you and Anthony often comment on is partially because of this podcast and the rest is my efforts and the classes I have taken. I will be watching this one again!

She is really awesome! Though most of the people I have dealt with since I started have been supportive, she suit my mentality well. Dennis said Nate “Benghazi” but I think he meant Bargatze. The first could be a sketch character and the other is a stand up comedian that hosted SNL a few weeks ago.
