Simplify, then add lightness. Famously Ford referred to it as their engine when it won and a Cosworth when it did not.

Toyota won le mans from 2018 to 2022. Or you meant before in the 90s?

NOT BANNED! Outlawed when the rules changed. There is a difference. The engine rules for Group C went from being a fuel mileage controlled category, where engine size & configuration was up to the builder, but you only got a limited amount of fuel to complete the race on, to a mandated displacement & configuration, where you could only run 3.5L N/A engines. The Mazda cars had previously run under Group C2, which was a lower power/lower weight/lower fuel usage variation of Gp.C, and had won their class several times previously at Le Mans. Le Mans, being it's own thing, was willing to let the old Group C cars race in Group C2 when the 3.5L regs came in, but only in restricted form - air restrictors on the engine, less fuel, regular Gp C weight, etc. The thing was that Mazda, having already been in C2, didn't have to make any changes to comply with the C2 regulations, whereas all the other "C2" teams did have to make changes. Changes that were (for the most part) untested over 24 hours of competition. So, the Mazda 787b beat it's competitors on reliability, not speed. The "New 3.5L Group C" cars were seconds a lap faster, but suffered from extended periods in the pits while various new car gremlins were fixed. Had it not been for those gremlins, they would've won easily. The old Group C cars that were modified to run in Group C2 pretty much all had engine problems, usually overheating due to running too lean. Several went out with holed/melted pistons. Meanwhile, the Mazda stayed on track, never the fastest car, but it kept on running for the full 24 hours, and won overall by NOT BREAKING DOWN. As for the Rotary being banned - not so. The rules were changing, this rule change had been public for roughly 2 YEARS by the time of Le Mans 91, and if the Rotary was banned, so was Jaguar's 7.4L V12, Toyota's Turbocharged 3.6L V8, the Porsche Turbo flat-6, and so on. Yet nobody bothers yelling about those being "banned", only the 787b & Mazda... If you want to see a car that really was "BANNED", look up the car Jeff Gordon ran at The Winston All Star race in 1997. Known as T-Rex, it raced once, won, and was instantly banned from competition - even while being fully compliant with the rules. When Ray Evernham protested that the car was legal, he was told "It won't be in the morning". THAT's BANNED. Not "written out of the rules for the following season". That's just being outlawed...

How did you do the voice? Great voice. Is this AI or real dude talking? Taking a sharp bump in 305kmh speed in car that essentially has rock hard ”suspension” + the high side G + momentarily loss of it and going back to G must have janked their belts on to ribcage so hard that it broke the bones. Also thing how fragile drivers usually are, they are feather light to give maximum performance out of the car, certainly not having anykind of peck muscles that could absorb and protect ribs.

Exactly something is going to give. Thank you, So it’s a text to speech voice it come out kinda rough sometimes so I have to do some post work on it, but overall it’s better than my voice lol if you want to hear mine I made a video about EV’s where I narrated it. Hopefully I can hire a professional in the future or if the software continues to improve I’ll stick with it. How did it sound to you? Did it mentally take you out of the video?

Also Ayrton Senna favourite car from all the cars he drove (and the one that gave his 1st championship in Suzuka with a spectacular recovery from 14th place due to stalling at start to 1st!) When asked some years later on an interview for his sponsor, Nacional (it was a tape for only the Nacional direction), he said it so, before some non speaker of Portuguese comes and says its BS.

Hall was a technical genius, but he let his technical side overpower his common sense side. Even though the vacuum car was a technical success he should have known from his years of racing experience that it would be banned and all the time and money spent on it would be wasted.

When my wife and I were married in 1988, I bought her a weekend at the Jim Hall Racing School(nice kart track) in Oxnard/Ventura. It was a great experience and they spent a lot of time driving the karts and pushed their limits in a prescribed manner. She learned techniques that she carried over into everyday driving. She did very well, but she is a natural, gifted athlete. She can still shoot the lights out in basketball from 12' out at 63 years of age and outrun 90% of men her age in a sprint.

Yeah it influenced its design, they used it for their Carrera prototype and then went from a 5.5 liter v10 to a 5.7 liter, and the profits from their Cayenne project helped fund it as well so it wasn’t a loss for Porsche.
