One fairly challenging game could be returnal, it's hard yes but you can play it in koop, the collectibles are now much easier to get, you only have to do 3 runs solo i think because certain sections are only available at solo play and it's much fun. Another fun watch. I like the variety in your list and the fact that we have played many of the same games. It’s always interesting to hear someone else’s opinion on the difficulty of games that I have played. You brought back some memories when you mentioned the ship graveyard in Uncharted 4 and the flying levels in Spyro 1 - they certainly required a bit of practise. The saw mill horde in Days Gone needed a bit of planning to take all 500 down. Difficulty is very subjective so I wouldn’t worry too much about playing something which is perceived to be hard. You play a lot of decent triple A, double A and indie games which is good to see. I genuinely think you should just play whatever you enjoy the most. I’m thinking of games that weren’t on your list that I have done and would consider the platinum to be harder than average. For PS4 I would say Bloodborne, Sekiro, Crash Bandicoot Trilogy, New Super Lucky’s Tale and Streets Of Rage 4. For PS5 I would say Returnal, Demon’s Souls, Unbound Worlds Apart, Ghostrunner, Wo Long Fallen Dynasty and Evil West. All of those titles were top quality.
@jahanzebhayat18 күн бұрын
Thanks Goopter! Ship graveyard in uncharted 4 gave me sleepless nights lol! I have never broken a controller in my life but I came close in that period. Yeah I think in trophy hunting, difficulty is seen as objective which it isn’t and what is hard for someone is easy for another person. Those are great recommendations, I tried Bloodbourne and while I want to do it, I may start with Elden Ring as my first FS game. Ghostrunner and Evil West are two I definitely want to do. Evil is definitely my type of game, linear third person shooter etc I played Returnal a lot in 2022 but I couldn’t beat the first boss. I need to really knuckle down and get better at it. And then Demon’s Souls one day as well once I finally learn how to play a FS game lol!!

I don’t fing the completion of these profiles impressive at all. If you have profiles with 100 games and let’s say 0% completion and add 100 shovelware games which can be done in like a day if you pick wisely your are already at 50% completion. If you do 900 which can be done in a month assuming you don’t have any yet you are already at 90%. Your 100 real games are still untouched. To scale it up to this guys numbers. He has 10k plats. So we can estimate he has about 10k games finished 100%. To get down to 50% completion he would need to find 10k more games. Psns currently tracks just 26k games. So if he doesn’t not specifically start games earn 1 trophy and abandon them to push his completion rate down anything below 90% is barely possible. Just look at ikemenzi who has 220k unearned trophies and still a completion rate of over 60%. Working hard to push it down and still not a bad rate.

@shadowmaksim28 күн бұрын
Unfortunately, you can't really take these top rankers on leaderboards at face value. There have been enough documented instances of many of these being caught as cheating to some degree. From having multiple people playing on the same account (there are stories of people being paid to do this) to even outright hacking their profiles. Hakoom is probably one of the most infamous examples, a very prominent profile back in the day that even landed on Guinness Book of Records but was caught doing both of these and more. But even assuming these are legit and not cheated...this just doesn't seem fun at all. The amount of time and money that'd have to go into this, you'd have to be a millionaire doing nothing but playing terrible games all day, each and every day. I used to know an online user from a forum I went to, which no longer exists, and they were probably the first instance of this kind of trophy hunter I've ever met. While not a millionaire...maybe, they did seem to be quite well off at least. They'd buy dozens of visual novels in Japanese and English and just skip past them for a sub-hour platinum. Hundreds of dollars worth of games in any given week. And when you'd ask them about any of those visual novels, including some very popular ones, they had no clue on what they were even about. It was seeing this in my earliest days of trophy hunting on why I just don't care about stats. I've seen firsthand on how devalued they can become.
@mr-nobody-88-28 күн бұрын
Very Bizarre indeed, you always get in life the extreme end of the spectrum, these guys probably don’t even make up the 1% of gamers, addiction and compulsion to keep growing a number. I can’t see how it would be enjoyable, definitely not healthy: most of the shovelware games are pure brainrot with no engagement. It’s like reading a book that has one word on each page “cat” “dog” door” 😂 that’s what my analogy would be.
@jahanzebhayat27 күн бұрын
good analogy. it is like that. also love brainrot lol!! they are probably the 1% of gamers but i reckon in trophy hunters they are probably 10-15% possibly. so many of them on the leaderboards, had to be quite a few of them
@kingbottyfish28 күн бұрын
Most of these high trophyhunter own multiple devices that can let you platinum 4-6 games at once and have turbo controllers that let you platinum clicker games like my name is mayo or the stroke the animals series
@jahanzebhayat27 күн бұрын
But i think you can get banned on PSNprofiles for getting trophies in multiple games around the same time or i maybe wrong. i didn't even think of the turbo controllers 😬
@kingbottyfish27 күн бұрын
I think you only get ban if the trophy earned illegitimate for example gta5 online if someone give level 100 I think you get removed from leaderboard but things like autopopping or playing multiple games at once are fine as long as the trophy are unlocked how they're are supposed

Interesting video. Have never really understood the whole leaderboard thing. I don’t see any value in it. I personally wouldn’t get any satisfaction playing those low quality games but I guess each to their own. Have you bought anything in the Days Of Play sale? I see Alone In The Dark has been reduced to £25 on Amazon and Smyths so I might pick that up. You might like it given that it has similarities to Resident Evil.
@jahanzebhayat28 күн бұрын
Each to their own for sure. I have not bought anything yet but need to have a thorough look this weekend. I was interested in Alone in the Dark, definitely reminded me of Resident Evil. I try to have the mind set of to each their own but any PSN Profile with way more Gold Trophies than Silver Trophies I find it hard to have any respect or admiration for them. They literally just spam the 11 Golds and 1 Platinum 5 minute games. Admittedly I have played a few of them myself on my profile but I try to balance my profile with Easy, Normal and Hard platinums. I think the quick easy platinums can be a great palate cleanser after a difficult game and kind of an extra reward for playing a hard game. However I think it goes too far when the Gold Trophies are higher than the Silver Trophies. That to me shows an imbalance and a tendency towards the "Shame games" as I jokingly call them. However to each their own. Play what makes you happy and focus on your own profile and set your own goals with it. My current goals are eventually 99.99% completion and under 300 or even 200 unearned trophies. As stated in the video. Don't get caught up in the rankings. It is impossible to catch up.
@jahanzebhayat28 күн бұрын
Shame games!! That is a good way of labelling them lol. Yeah I know what you mean…when there are more gold than silver or bronze it does make me look at it differently. And i agree, nothing wrong with a palate cleaner after a long platinum. I do shorter games as well when it feels right. Good luck with the % completion and unearned trophies

It's just a completely different way of engaging with games, right? I'm with you in that I also have a morbid curiosity about the type of player that still aims for leaderboards in the modern day. I sometimes wonder if they're enjoying it just for the sake of the journey, or if they're still holding out hope that those quick and easy platinums will fall out of favor one day. Then they can go back to more traditional games. Like, they're just trying to stay ahead with optimism it'll eventually pass? Not sure. Fun video, thanks!
@jahanzebhayat28 күн бұрын
Morbid curiosity is a good way of describing it, i find it fascinating. I don’t know if they are enjoying it.. imagine you need a minimum amount of platinums per day to keep your place on the leaderboard. Then you have a `bad` day and only get 3 platinums and you feel down about it. I also don’t think the quick & easy games will gall out of favour. It is like its own mini industry.
