To me, this has always been by far the hardest level of Super Mario

This is the best soundtrack of all game. This is even my favourite soundtracks of all GameBoy console soundtracks. And, this tune is even among my few favourite video game tracks of all systems. For the last 10 years, I used to hum it very often.

I just beat this level last night and it took me 3 hours! No joke 😅

I will go to my grave swearing this level is harder than Tubular. Watching him play it didnt look too bad. But I swear I've spent far more time trying to beat this stupid level as a kid than I ever did Tubular. Tubular is so short, you get past like 2 sets of chucks kicking footballs, you're done.. this level with all the bullet bills and fireballs, if you don't know about the Yoshi is BRUTAL. For us regular folks, I mean. You Mario Maker death level gods don't count.

I get it, tubular is crazy, and yes, very difficult. THIS was the level though, that I ALWAYS think of when I think of hardest mario levels of all time. I have vague memories of just hammering away at it for hours.

No, it is harder than tubular, by a mile. At least with tubular, you can beat it in about a minute. But outrageous, if you don't have a cape to aid you, then you would have rely on luck to beat it.
