A major reason why you don´t want cyclists to have to wear helmets is that it greatly decreases their convenience. You don´t want to spend the whole day of shopping or friday night partying carrying around a cumbersome helmet. If you had to, people would choose the car significantly more often. So you should remove the mandatory helmet if you want to get more people to start cycling, if the infrastructure allows it.

With the condition that the Silicon Valley and entire Bay Area for that matter has no one government, it's heartening that Joint Venture not only provides leadership but is a valuable and trusted resource that other organizations can base decisions that benefit locals most effectively. I would hope that it doesn't discount or places any lower priority on small businesses that employ most of the area's workers even as they aren't represented by any single coalition. I would love to see a Silicon Valley small business alliance, perhaps similar to what the Silicon Valley Leadership Group does for larger companies, represented at Joint Venture to address the future of most of the entrepreneurs in the area.

The video (GBI) is not telling the whole story, do you as a resident want more access for walking and bicycles on HWY 82 ? There are similar projects on HWY 1 in Southern California that have caused more traffic congestion, the opposite of what the State of California promised. Who is going to pay for this? More people living on Hwy 82 (El Camino Real). They want people out of their cars, and changing the name is due to the religious reasons. The rep of GBI made another statement, "We must look at how great Europe is with transportation".
