Unfortunately that won’t be possible as the weather conditions in the valley is quite different from what you’d see below. Also, because you need to book the tickets well ahead of time, the best thing you can do is keep an eye on the weather report!

hey guys, love your videos.. me & my friends travelling to phillipines next month. few of us are non swimmers (like comfortable swimming in the local building/resort pools, in shallow waters ) . are these island tours including the Super Ultimate island tour, suitable for the likes of us?? any advice would be highly appreciated since we are in the midst of booking our itineraries.

Thanks for watching! The island escapades is quite well fitted as it’s a lot of beach time where it’s quite shallow. However, the super ultimate tour does require quite a bit of swimming but they always provide life jackets if needed!

Yes we felt like both trails were well marked so that shouldn’t be an issue at all! We stayed at an Airbnb in El Chalten for 3 nights!

Which hotel or hotels did you stay? And for how many nights for those 5 hikes?

We stayed a total of 5 nights to do all these hikes but it can be done in 4 nights. We stayed at Hosteria Pehoe to tackle some of these hikes as well as staying at an Airbnb in Puerto Natales for the others (we did rent a car so we drove in and out of the park quite a bit).

Jason and Lauren, thank you for making this video. My mother is from Ouro Preto and it’s a city I hold dear in my heart. I just learned today of how mining in a specific section, called Serra do Botafogo, will affect aquifers that supply Ouro Preto and even Belo Horizonte. Mining will destroy the mountains, plants, animals and significant historical landmarks. I want to shout it out to the world. Do you guys have any suggestions on where or who I should write to to bring attention and put a stop to this?

DO NOT GO TO CARTAGENA! I was attacked and robbed in the middle of a busy street. The police were there quickly but did nothing. It is not safe!!

is Fansipan always cloudy..? I've checked many videos and didn't see any clear weather there.. that's why I'm afraid to go there then will be disappointed with clouds

It does seem to be cloudy quite a bit unfortunately. If you’re staying there for a couple days or longer, we highly recommend taking a look at the weather conditions that morning before committing to heading up there. In our video at the very end we mentioned that it would have been smarter had we switched the days (village first day then Fansipan the day after) but unfortunately we had already purchased our Fansipan tickets.

@@WriterusAeternus It actually wasn’t bad as the ground isn’t slippery! Of course, during and after rain that would be a different story. Be careful if that’s the case for you! We just used our hands sometimes for the scrambling parts, we do recommend hiking poles for this hike if you can get or bring some!
