I was told by a repairman that came to my place of work and he was working on our filing system. He told me that Wd40 is not an oil or lubricant, it's a cleaner. A lot of people think it lubricates, but it does not. Thank you for your informative vid on these products and what works for you. I have not tried any of them yet, but plan to try Elmer's glue.

Am i correct that the little half moon on the sensor plate roughly lets you align that to where you want the thread to stop? Is it in the same spot aligned with the halfway point on the sensor? Thats where the manufacturer says where it senses. Trying to thing of an easier way not having to adjust so much the sensors and a good starting spot for bew users. Looks like the apex of the half moon is the halfway point of the sensors so can use that for where you want the thread to stop filling 🤷🏻♂️ Mines arriving tomorrow

Wow I’m shocked at your reference to your better quality school and how your school could afford the better quality machines over the Singer Brother and such. As a person that went to all public school not being Catholic and all and I love my junky Singer machine. You should rethink before you say such and think about it affending the people you want to watch your channel. Sorry but some of us are affended

It kinda defeats the purpose of quilt as you go.use some spray basting like 505 or smooth out just like you would if you were quilting a regular top

If you made a KZbin about threading/bobbin winding, I would like to know about it. I found threading a bear (partly b/c I was told wrong where I bought it), but I think threading is confusing if you don't understand to thread UNDER the plate. BTW: it seems Baby Lock made threading exceptionally hard with no real pay off in better sewing.

Thank you for the info!! I attempted to use the Aleen's spray and the 2 materials didn't stick at all and it didn't dry clear(I left them overnight). What material will it not work for if you're familiar? It was like a polyester bandana (wish I had cotton) to a pair of black denim jeans. It didn't adhere and there were spots from the spray. I'm going to try it again but if you can provide any tips I'd greatly appreciate it!

Thank GOODNESS you use the term "right side" and "wrong side"....the first time I heard someone use the term "Pretty side" I almost gagged...I mean SERIOUSLY???? We have to dumb-down sewing terms that are ages old???? I'd like to try this technique on pre-printed batting for placemats - but due to the designs, not sure if I can stitch in the ditch for the triangles/flying geese or how to quilt the center squares or designs w/o using tell tale threads and backstitching - not exactly designed for flip-n-stitch. Any suggestions???

First sorry for the delay. I don’t use this as much as I thought I was going to use it because I forget about it especially with two sewing locations. So far I’ve had no problems yet. Just trying to thread thu the little hole. Good luck if you choose to buy this machine.

This is nothing like I thought ! QAYG TO ME IS A LARGER SIZE, made of several blocks ! This is just a square mat !, wasted my time! Table Mat …….very misleading ! Awful long winded! Thought I’d learn something new ? Really great for someone who has never made a mat ! QUILT to most people means a covering !

Yes, it is long if you are not new to quilting or sewing. No, it’s not misleading. Here is part of a definition of quilt use. This is taken from google…… “There are many traditions regarding the uses of quilts. Quilts may be made or given to mark important life events such as marriage, the birth of a child, a family member leaving home, or graduations. Modern quilts are not always intended for use as bedding, and may be used as wall hangings, table runners, or tablecloths. “. But isn’t a table runner a covering as well? I have a baby lock Jane, it’s a professional type machine with only 1 stitch, straight, and can sew up to 1500 stitches a minute. I use this when I’m only doing straight stitching-or piecing. I really love both machines.

Why don’t you starch and iron before sewing the back ? It won’t show any wrinkles. You can also use a hemostat to turn inside out and a crochet to push the corners.

Hi, I bought the Aleene's Fabric Fusion and used it and it worked great, the problem was the next time I tried to use it, it wouldn't spray. I contacted Aleene's and they sent me another bottle and the same thing happened, once you use it your done. I love the product but won't be using it again or recommending it to anyone.

pro tip: Take the tip off and wash with hot water or rubbing alcohol right after done using. I do this with glue sprays, starch spray and spray paints

I have been going crazy making Perry Point Amish Folded Star Trivets & the Elmer's Glue Stick was great. There were fiber bits on the glue as you said, but I made it work. I found the binding to be a real plus too. I could see sprays for bigger projects but for small or more precise placement I found Elmers stick to be fine & it didn't gum up the needle. I think that the stitch width dial moves the needle left and right when you're using a straight stitch.
