Completely wrong the way to do that . It even says , apply to your surface and leave it to work . What you are doing is Completely wrong . Let it set in 15 to 20 mins , then go back and buff with a cotton cloth .

Thank you for your comment. Not all products are created the same way :) I actually developed this product and it does not need to sit before being buffed with a cloth.

If you were to apply a second coat, how long do you wait before applying it?
@MangoPaint2 жыл бұрын
Hi Kerry! Thanks for asking :) Mango Paint dries really quickly, but we usually try and wait an hour or two between coats.

No need for a primer?

We used the white mango paint (betty) and it looked awful on a dining room set we got. We followed the instructions but it looked so yellow and blotchy. We tried putting on several coats to cover but it still looked yellow and a lot of places it wouldn't cover well. Then the paint started coming off because we had more than 2 layers on it. We bought paint stripper yesterday ($30) to to get rid of the white paint. We are struggling to get it all off. :( we wish we haven't tried to paint it. We are so disappointed. A lot of stores sell chalk furniture paints and their work looks so amazing. But when we did it we made a mess. We are hoping we can save the table but I am not sure.

Oh goodness Willow Moonlight so sorry that you had this experience! It sounds like your dining room set may be ‘bleeding through’, this can occasionally happen with any type of water-based paint. I would recommend sending overall lightly to smooth out your finish, and then sealing your project with a shellac based primer. Once you have sealed in your project Mango Paint Betty will go on beautifully. Again so sorry to hear about this experience - some furniture reclaiming projects can be more finicky than others.

Hello, what type of roller are you using (i.e. foam, nap, etc)?

Hi there Denise! I am using a 4" micro fibre roller - it's our favourite! You can see them on our website here: mangopaintinc.com/product-category/accessories/

Lovely colours of paint. How does Jocelyn look with Sophia for a dresser? Also, I'm very curious about your black & antiquing waxes over various paint colours in your collection. Is there a possibility you could do some testing to show us on a few tester decorative baseboards? Thank you very much 😁

Thank you so much! Jocelyn and Sophia would be a great combination. An olive green with a soft white - beautiful! I will definitely work on a video to showcase the different finishes on each colour as well. If you are looking for more Mango Painted furniture inspiration you can see many examples on our website gallery here: mangopaintinc.com/gallery/

Do you use the clear wax first?
@MangoPaint4 жыл бұрын
Hi Julie! :) We did not actually. For this piece we just did what you see here - only antique beeswax overall. Sometimes if we are applying anitique beeswax over a really light colour (Sophia or Katherine for example), we would apply natural beeswax finish first. But for this project we just applied antique :)
