You got it wrong earlier in the video about Julie and Murugi childhood environment being affirming and not in your psychoanalysis theory . 1st Julie is the one who grew up in a stable affirming environment and maybe she doesn't feel the need of working hard and earning extra much. Her back up has been solid and not only from her parents but even grandparents and extended family but atleast you said you never watched over 25. Her dad is even the one who adviced her on the career to pursue when she was little because he realised she had a good analysis on markets and adverts. She has been thriving on that.And I mean Jules. Murugi on the other hand grew up in a broken home. Her dad was an alcoholic. Also at some points she had to be shifted to shags in her formative yrs for parents to be able to raise her immediate follower and first born. My observation is that Murugi was a middle child who out of being left by the parents grew to be independent and may have suffered from abandonment thoughts at an earlier age and out of longing for her parents validation, she had to learn to be the good child for approval and she mastered her ways of going for it. N maybe just maybe she feared being "abandoned again" and had to put her best foot forward. Also maybe her grannies place may have been safer than her home but still a child would want both of her parents. Do you realize she is the only one who is that well achieved in her family. If you listened to TMI recently, Lydia said she doesn't like borrowing Murugi money because she feels Murugi is taking care of so much in her family, like she is the savior.... That shd tell you she is the backbone of her family mostly financially and she has to fight for them... Also I know anasaidia Zack mahaliso we shdnt assume it is the hubby stepping in financially 100% otherwise where is her contribution to her fam. She looks like the supportive kind and I know women do this but they don't wonna say the truth.

Hapo at minute 23. Absolutely! That conversation needs a whole different panel. Not to exclude her guest but that may not be the regular Kenyan experience either. Her experience is ontersectional with the refugee status, resettlement, dating white people, a whole other world. A whole new mindful panel would do this topic justice. Cz the way Kenyans try to pretend colorism does not exist in this country is mind warping

Murugi is one of the best influencers this country has seen. She has shaken things up so much and managed to remain relevant for years. The way she sells out everything she posts?! Yho! She is who she thinks she is and she has positioned herself for success in a tough tough market!

Kiki is a global term. I have heard it in Tanzania as well as USA. I think Jullz has more international fans and high end niche fans , that makes her not as successful as Murugi. Murugi connects with everyone, What Jullz meant was that with some cushioning , you are able to take risks , where some pay off others dont.

Wooow i loved this. Being a follower òf both creators from Zim, i really enjoyed this. It had a sense of Tiffany Ferguson's Internet Analysis. Julez doesnt realise she is shooting herself in the foot when she attributes Sharon and Murugi's success only to their spouse or google. She will remain stuck wishing she also had a rich husband or worksd for a big Corporate

I think what Jules meant is Murugi is able to take risks because she has 'security' if anything happens, they have back up and not from a place of invalidating her boldness. Whereas when you have no 'back up', your risk appetite is not as much because where and who's your fallback?

I share the same thoughts with you, I felt Murugi wasn't given enough time being she is a seasoned content creator who has been in the game long enough more than the rest of the panelists,like there wasn't a moderator and everyone just talked,the points weren't exhaustively discussed.

I sometimes still can't believe that after the Over 25 fallout, Jules isn't the most successful of them. She created the group, was the most outspoken hence most known in the group while at it's peak and i think the most relatable. I wish she believed in herself more She's a powerhouse Also i agree with you, sensationalism pays more
@lucykarimi87846 күн бұрын
Jules shouldn't have invalidated Murugi and Sharon's effort due to them being financially comfortable. Infact I believe she's also privileged, she's from the Gaitho family if I'm not wrong

Unpopular PERSONAL opinion: I love when you do episodes alone, maybe others love when you have guests, but as for me, I feel like you tend to hold back when you have guests over, unlike when you're alone....I fell like you really let out everything and get somewhat vulnerable....I don't know, it's just a personal opinion... I've really enjoyed this BRIBE episode.🙄🙄...acha niende nivote😂😂🥰🥰

@@Rose-pc2lf Heyyy lovely Rose❤️ I hear you and trust it is actually a popular opinion 🤭😁 Thank you for this sincere expression 🫂❤️ I do intentionally hold back with guests because I want their unfiltered perspective and to hear their story fully. I will balance it out and see if I can give you more of these solo pods. I love them too. Bless you babe 🫂💕

Excuse me! Love this outfit. You look so good. You know life doesn't happen to us but for us. The greatest lesson for me is not to get bitter but better. Exes definitely teach you something once you purpose to heal and slowly get past the experience. Thank you for sharing. I really liked the vulnerability you had here.💌

I left church but not because of God but Jesus Christ!! I do not doubt his existence for sure but my personal savior? Naaah. The same way we had our own ancestors who did great things like healing, communicating to the beyond etc… is the same way Jesus was an ancestor to the whites. Praying through Jesus instead of honoring our ancestors is like not asking help from your family to go to another unknown city to ask a stranger for help. Call me a conspiracy theorist but that’s why as a continent we’re suffering. Jesus is only mandated to help his people not us. Although I luck a religion, I believe in God, I believe in African spirituality, in going back to our roots and asking our ancestors for the help we need As we condemn religion for its bullsh*t let’s provide solutions to spirituality. Truth is something or someone greater than us humans is orchestrating this complex world, the big bang had to be put in motion, the laws of the universe had to come from something or some energy. The common denominator is God and I honestly truly believe in Him but Christianity is not my ticket to authenticity or spirituality
@olaveorawo7 күн бұрын
Wow! It's just today that I have taken time to internalise this🫂❤️ This truly is beautiful and powerful. Someone would be mad to call you a conspiracy theorist for this...It literally adds up 💯 I love that you are discovering for yourself and choosing your own system. So much love🥰 Pouring one out to the ancestors 🥂
